Re: 93.7 The Fan Now On
Put on the fan last night, had some replay of Vinnie on a baseball show or something, got about 2 mins in, and he said, "Is this a budding rivalry between the buccos and the Indians." At that point I shut it off. I'm all for optimism but come on Vinnie for claiming to be a baseball guy don't act like an inter-league series of 3 games will create a rivalry.

I'm not a fan of Vinnie's but in all fairness to him that's what MLB is trying to pass off these dumb interleague series as. They put each team against their "rival" every year in interleague.Pavel Bure wrote:Put on the fan last night, had some replay of Vinnie on a baseball show or something, got about 2 mins in, and he said, "Is this a budding rivalry between the buccos and the Indians." Re: 93.7 The Fan Now On
its tough on those weekend shows, because those guys have to try pretty much anything to get people interested. kenny the kangaroo feels bad for tab douglas, vinnie, ziese, peak, etc because those guys are faced with an uphill battle considering how few people listen on the weekends.Pavel Bure wrote:Put on the fan last night, had some replay of Vinnie on a baseball show or something, got about 2 mins in, and he said, "Is this a budding rivalry between the buccos and the Indians." I don't feel bad for grimm. He was acting like he had sparked the greatest debate in centuries when he was asking who'd be better burress or pryor. Asking things like, who's disliked more in western pa, pryor or burress. Why would anyone from western pa dislike pryor or burress?

Re: 93.7 The Fan Now On
this morning, some dude from wexford called in and gave paul alexander the business about questioning alvarez' mental stability...paul lost it and totally twisted what the guy said because he was so irate.
i enjoyed every second of it.

Alexander loses it when someone disagrees with him...it's overwhelmingly pretentious. One morning during the football season after some calls about Arians buffoonry, he went off basically calling everyone stupid for criticizing the offensive coordinator.

Re: 93.7 The Fan Now On
A good point by Alexander though. I was the biggest Arians hater ever because I felt he was abandoning the run to much and everyone agreed, last year I felt they had perfect balance and everyone got on Arians for not "letting Ben control this team." Basically no one will EVER be happy with that man (And this is coming from someone who used to hate him)Troy Loney wrote:Alexander loses it when someone disagrees with him...it's overwhelmingly pretentious. They didn't have balance. They had predictability.

Ron Cook says Ben Roetlhlisberger is a changed man, has written more than 1 article since last spring, but that he wouldn't want Jaromir Jagr on his team...he sites immaturity.
I miss sports radio, espn, but I would never listen to cook.

Lol at people that actually believe all these athletes that suddenly have an "EPIPHANY" after doing something stupid.
Ben has changed in that he will be more careful of what girls he's picking up and will act nicer to the media... about it

Re: 93.7 The Fan Now On
People talk and I don't believe 1 or 2 ramblings, but I've never heard as many horrible stories from people that have ran into Ben since his rookie year (before all of this). Not that that means anything, I really don't care if he's a jerk to people if they run into him.. just so he can playPensOnDVD wrote:Ben was never the monster people proclaim him to be. It's Pittsburgh. The same place were KOrdell was blowing guys in Schenley Park, Dan Marino was a coke head, and Bill Cowher was getting a RO served on him by Kaye at his TRS office.
