I noticed this morning they were missing. John Burton's bad impressions were not missing however.Troy Loney wrote:Alexander and Colony weren't on this morning...lineup changes?

I never really thought Burton was that bad. Impressions are awful and he's an unabashed Yankee fan, but he never annoyed me that much.
I think Alexander has taken Old Stiegy's place as the new grumpiest man in sports.

Re: 93.7 The Fan Now On
That Seibel impression Burton did this morning was fantastic. His Starkey impression wasn't bad either.
Burton has a few impressions that were terrific. When Madden was on 1250, Burton used to call in and do drop-dead hysterical impressions of Walt Harris and Ben Howland. I think he called in as "Not My Fault Walt" and "Westwood Ben", respecitvely. Those two were absolutely dead-on.
The Plaxico Burress impression is pretty tired, though.

I think he also had a Barry Bonds bit as "Double B", which was pretty sweet, especially the repeated references to (Pedro) Gomez.Stoosh wrote:That Seibel impression Burton did this morning was fantastic. His Starkey impression wasn't bad either.

Yes, that was Burton as well. Forgot about that one. Loved the repeated references to Gomez, too.Eismann wrote:I think he also had a Barry Bonds bit as "Double B", which was pretty sweet, especially the repeated references to (Pedro) Gomez.Stoosh wrote:That Seibel impression Burton did this morning was fantastic. not sure who the guy was that had the show on Saturday afternoon, but he wasn't that bad. His show was mostly about believing the buccos are gonna make .500, and laughed off a few of the callers who said he was an idiot for thinking so without sounding like a jerk.

I was listening to Zeise last night around 9PM, and he was reading texts from listeners. Saying that he is on a third grade reading level is probably being too generous. Either that, or he was just mailing it in since it was the last hour of his show.

Always thought Burton's impressions were funny, some are weak but others are hilarious, did he do "Ace" Lemieux? No Vinnie or Cook impressions?
Tab Douglas has been on the past 2 weekends.
I like Tab.
Tab, another 1250 talent. he actually knows stuff.

Agreed. I wouldn't mind seeing him as a replacement for Vinnie or Fillipponi or Seibel.Troy Loney wrote:IronDukes37 wrote:Woke up to Giannatti and Burton, thought there was a major shake-up but looks like it's just vacation time, Colony gone all week, Alexander should be back tomorrow.

Re: 93.7 The Fan Now On
Giannotti is getting unbearable. He was complaining about MLB network's coverage of the draft last night. Granted, it wasn't grand like the NFL draft...but if that's what you want, don't watch the MLB draft. For one, this is only the second year they've televised the event. I thought the analysis and the breakdown of the picks was great. The footage was weak, they only seemed to have like 3-4 life shots of each top pick, which is pretty bad, it couldn't have been that hard to have more than 3 highlights of Anthony Rendon.
That said, there is obviously room for legit, positive criticism. But if the brunt of your argument is that Selig has no charisma...Really? Does it bother you that water is wet? wtf?

I liked him before they took him off the show. I always thought Giannotti was better by himself rather than with a group of guys. Burton, just sounds much better talking to a group rather than being by himself.IronDukes37 wrote:The morning show with Burton is actually making me laugh.

He also made fun of Seibel (granted that's shooting fish in a barrel), but i still really enjoyed it. So that idiot said that he'd wash jock straps if the pirates were at .500 64 games into the season.
1. washing jock straps is a stupid thing to say you'd do.
2. i'm glad your wrong, your an idiot.
