Some Crosby facts...

Post by nexguy66 »

Sid has now passed Jagr for 2nd place in scoring over the last two season. Thornton has 200 points while Sid has 197, Jagr 195. Dropping considerably from there is Ovechkin(178), Heatly(175) and Savard (170)

Crosby is on pace for 97 assists through 79 games.

If sid stopped playing today, at his current pace, it would take 2nd place Vinny 12 games(over 25 days) to pass Sid in points.

Next year is going to be scary. Oh.. and the decade after that as well.

It would be amazing if Crosby could get 100 assists this year.

All that shows is how spoiled we are as Pens fans. We have dominated the talent pool on the top end for years. We will again now too. It's the rest of the lineup that will determine the number of cups we win.

Other players to record 100 or more assists - Bobby Orr (1 time - 102), Mario (1 time - 114), Gretzky (11 times in total).

Go for 100 Sid!

Also Wayne Gretzky was 20 when he did it for the 1st time.

So if my calculations are right...

When Sid takes the Art Ross this year, he'll be the only teenager to ever do it. Then if he were to get 100 assists, he'd break one of Gretzky's records? One down...60 more to go! (How many records does he actually hold?
