I haven't watched it, but looking at the stats I am horrified
to notice that 87 was on the ice for all but 2 of the 11 goals
scored today. Was he so bad defeinsively?

I wouldn't play Fleury in Florida. Give him a week off.

so why is it when comcast streams the pen announcers it goes off just after the buzzer but now with the Isle feed it keeps on going on and on for minutes. they don't show the pens after game stuff why for another team?

If Naserdine is not playing next game I will be really surprised. Eaton, Scuderi, Melichar, and Gonch all played really poorly today.

MAF was terrible.

Offense wasn't too bad. 1st line played well.

He's already got a sunburn on the back of his neck from that goal light this afternoon

He doesn't need to go to Florida.

Scuds was at fault for the last goal. He pinched in way too far and couldn't get back to cut the angle down. WHY DIDN"T SOMEONE JUST TAKE A &^%%* PENALTY?? SLASH, TRIP WHATEVER to Sillinger, don't let him shoot it, and the Pens get another point. SCUDERI dosen't think on the ice, always in a bad position, never makes the right play. Fleury was OK, not his best game, but he had no chance on some of those goals.

Fleury's had a rough month so it might not hurt to push him a little by playing Thibault on Thursday. Today, he was not good. That happens. He's still our guy, but this is just another one of those things that tells me this team isn't ready yet. Fleury's still inconsistent. Given all the games he's played and all the games he's going to play soon, it might not hurt to give him a break for a week and give Thibault the next start. I think Fleury needs to recharge.

Guys, think this performance had anything to do with us playing two games in less than 24 hours? Shame on the NHL scheduling. Play a 3:30 game sunday, and then turn around and play a 1 game on the road while the Islanders have the day off? This isn't baseball.

Well it was due. Isles were playing intense and never quit. A fairly poor defensive game by the whole team and Fluery, by any standard. Can't count on out scoring everyone, every night. It's a been a great season so far. I look for a big rebound from the Pens next game.

Pens first star of the game Mark Recchi hands down. Second Star Malone. Third star ..... can't decide.

Exactly. No need to wreck his confidence. It's one bad game. Happens to Luongo, Brodeur, and Hasek, too. He gets two days rest and then comes out fresh for his next start Thursday.

and they still haven't figured out who was on the ice for the Pens 5th goal... and the sheet says "Final" but no stars either.

And here come the mass suicide posts...

If we're blaming Mark Eaton for this loss, some of you have some serious mental problems.

Here's the thing, we all say they played horrible today. But every team has bad games. It doesn't mean that we can't be upset at certain players and at the outcome. Will this change much? No, the Pens are still good. But it's still a bad loss because instead of being 3 points back from the Debs and 9 points up on 8th place now we stay 5 points back and 7 points up.
