Making excuses is usually suspicious, but making so many of them, and lame ones at that, sort of has me convinced that Rylan is telling the truth. Oh, the great overthink...

It's possible that he's telling the truth and he just made a mistake.
The way he immediately jumped on what mac said was more concerning to me than the mistake itself honestly.

That was my thought, but people obviously did the same thing re: my vote for Rylan. No one has even offered another option.the wicked child wrote:It's possible that he's telling the truth and he just made a mistake.

well,
throw Rylan in the brig
I honestly doubt he is bad, but no sense delaying the inevitable.

Haha, I thought about this last night after I jumped right on board, but I think its generally a bad idea to let those types of things go. It was both the quick jump and the mistake for me. I guess I think the mistake makes the quickness of the jump stand out even more. "I want to jump on someone so quick I don't care whether the person is alive or the logic is totally wrong."bhaw wrote:That was my thought, but people obviously did the same thing re: my vote for Rylan. But, yeah, I think too often we let these "obvious" tells go because it seems too obvious. Baddies take advantage of that mentality now, I think. Though, I will say, I consistently get this wrong with shaf, who seems to do something that catches my eye in this way at least every other game.

There are a lot of people who are awfully quick to vote. Which is par for some , but a few are usually a lot more caculated.bhaw wrote:That was my thought, but people obviously did the same thing re: my vote for Rylan. Day 2
As with any stressful situation, the Starfleet officers were not adjusting well. It had been just 2 days, and there had already been three deaths, 2 of them regular crewman.
It was time to act, and several of the crewman stood up. They accused Rylan of conspiring and being bad, based on a seedy, deep and dark past. Rylan stood up, "I don't even care. You know, I hate you all anyways. You sons of ********. You morons."
Rylan's career in Starfleet had been short thus far, only serving for about 4 or 5 months, in which he had made it clear that he had some sort of drug problem. One night, in Ten Forward Rylan had made the crazy claim "I will own Ten Forward tonight." Many of the drunkards left for fear that he would snap. There were also rumors he was the clone of an infamous Communist. There were a lot of strange stories. Rylan's ranting continued.
"You guys go ahead and do what you want, I'm going to leave."
Shaftnutz, mac5155 and IrishEyes jumped up and blocked the door. A look of worry crossed Rylan's face. The crewmen slowly surrounded him.
"Christ what are you guys doing!"
The crewmen jumped him to take him to the brig, but again unseen phaser fire from the crowd rang out. Rylan fell to the ground, volts of electricity coarsing through his veins causing him to twitch violently. His holographic display stopped working revealing that Rylan was...
It is now Night 3. PM's to DocEmrick and columbia por favor.

I was just looking for some glory here in TOS; it's certainly not coming from my rookie mod skills.
