Second the Party Down sentiments from the previous page.
Watching Freaks and Geeks on IFC right now. What a great show.

Re: TV Shows
how sad is it that the final 5 episodes of Caprica are actually good? Too little too late to save the series, but I've actually been able to watch 4 of them (one to go) in a week's time. Too bad they didn't get to that point sooner...

I'm still upset that Drive was cancelled after just a few episodes, that show was sweet.

i liked it enough to give it another episode. the plot/dialogue is facepalm city at times, but i like how it doesnt take itself too seriously.Idoit40fans wrote:I liked The Cape.

Human target is sick. I really like it. Perfect blend of action and ridiculous.

The Wire for sure. In the middle of season four of Dexter now, and think that's a great show as well.Ben Klingston wrote:
Recommendations on what old shows to catch up on next? Never watched The Wire (heard it is an all-timer), Dexter, or Party Down?

Thats mostly how I feel...mostly. I didn't like it enough to say that i'll keep watching it, but it definitely earned another viewing from me.canaan wrote:i liked it enough to give it another episode. the plot/dialogue is facepalm city at times, but i like how it doesnt take itself too seriously.Idoit40fans wrote:I liked The Cape.

I like the 1 hour episodes, but that two-hour fiasco last week was just a little too over the top for me.Stevo wrote:Human target is sick. I really like it. Perfect blend of action and ridiculous.
Although, I really like Guerrero (aka Kelly from Bad News Bears/Rorshach from Watchmen).

Re: TV Shows
I started watching the previous seasons of the Big Bang Theory, what a great show.
Also, same thing going for How I Met Your Mother, also pretty sweet.
I realize I can't stand shows on regular cable anymore because I can't stand commercials. Wait a few months after a season and buy it and I am a happy camper.

Re: TV Shows
^^ HIMYM started out good. Sadly, the current show is nothing like the first few seasons. It's really gone downhill IMO.

I can't stand either of those shows. I want to punch the people on TBBT in the head, and HIMYM is "meh".Rylan wrote:I started watching the previous seasons of the Big Bang Theory, what a great show.

I'm sort of the same way, but only because want to be able to know what happens next and I want to be able to watch the entire show in the correct order.

That's my issue with everything. I have to go in order or else it bothers me insanely.Physical_Graffiti wrote:I'm sort of the same way, but only because want to be able to know what happens next and I want to be able to watch the entire show in the correct order.
Also I can't remember a weekly schedule of when shows are on so that makes sets better.
Side note: How do you hate TBBT??!!?!??!?!?!!?

Idk, I just want to punch all of the guys in the head. I don't think they're funny; I think they're annoying.Rylan wrote: Side note: How do you hate TBBT??!!?!??!?!?!!?

Re: TV Shows
Watched "Wheel of Fortune" today and there was a younger girl on it. Pat asked her what her favourite show was. The girl responded: "Umm probably American Idol and..." everyone laughs and then the lady beside her says "I'd've said Wheel of Fortune"
In an unrelated note: If "I'd've" isn't a word; it should become one.
