Re: Racchi's rug
The Rug appears to have an ultimate goal of catching Gordie Howe ....
Howe:
Most NHL games played (1767)
Oldest NHL player at time of retirement (52)
Oldest person to play in an NHL game (52), also only player to play in the NHL after age 50
Only player to play in the NHL in five different decades (1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s)
The Rug at 42 will blow these away if he limps through another 10 years:
Most NHL games played (currently at 1571 about 3-4 seasons to go depending on health and playoff games)
Oldest NHL player at time of retirement (yet to be determined)
Oldest person to play in an NHL game (52), also only player to play in the NHL after age 50 (yet to be determined)
Only player to play in the NHL in five different decades (He's starting his 4th decade, 80's,90's,2000's, 2010's)
The idea that this thread could continue for another 10 years is scary. Doubtful but scary. The Rug lives on.
Here's the current list of NHL games played. The Rug is number 9 with no one above him still playing....

I just hope Taylor Hall behaves himself or the Rug will see to it that he gets put in his place.

I think everyone should ask Kicksave if they can post something before they post it.
