I dont know what is going on with Community. These last 2 episodes have been awful. Last season was brilliant, and now, its like they are doing too much with each episode.
Always Sunny is on a whole other level right now. I loved last night's episode.

I didn't think Community was bad last night. It was much better than the Shirley vs. Abed episode, but still not at the level of the Space Simulator episode.

Last night's community was weird, but I chalk it up to being Halloween based. It was decent.cheesesteakwithegg wrote:I dont know what is going on with Community. These last 2 episodes have been awful. Last season was brilliant, and now, its like they are doing too much with each episode.

Last week's episode though was strange and I didn't really enjoy it that much.

I liked Community last night, really great star wars "I love you... I know.." reference between Troy and Abed!
Also enjoyed Modern Family this week.

Re: TV Shows
there is some really subtle acting going on in the 'brown out' scene on always sunny this week. watch it again, and focus on mac when he first says he browned out. really great episode. I think after the marriage episodes, this season has been solid. the boat episode and the swimming pool episode were great, and this week's was amazing.shmenguin wrote:that was an awesome episode of sunny. best of the year, definitely.cheesesteakwithegg wrote:I dont know what is going on with Community. Re: TV Shows
Still haven't watched the season 2 finale yet, but at least caught up to there (I think... we're behind in a lot of things, like still having 10 eps of Numb3rs to go, 14 Dark Blues, 6-7 Rescue Me/Sons of Anarchy, on top of the easier episodic shows like L&O:LA, L&O:UK, the CSIs, etc., where we are only 2-3 eps behind. Throw on Boardwalk Empire and the Event in that group, I guess, leaves not much space on the DVRs). Keep seeing promos for the new season, and want to get to it soon.Idoit40fans wrote:I finally watched the first episode of this season of castle last night. I liiiiked. I'll watch the next two tonight.
In other shows, I continually ask myself why I keep watching Caprica. It doesn't hold my interest like the Olmos-led BSG did, yet I still watch. I begin to wonder if it will last long enough to make the jump to the BSG miniseries, or if it will be cut well short, and have some forced ending like the Bakula Star Trek Enterprise did (a 10 year jump in the finale)...
Surprised that the Shatner show got picked up. We'd been DVRing it, but not as one of the shows that kept until delete. The pilot was really slow, and although the 2nd episode wasn't much better, I still get the impression that the thin son is cast to be a Ted Mosby-type (HIMYM) personality. Which is hard when the actor playing it doesn't seem close to pulling it off.

I loved the first few episodes of Boardwalk Empire. I thought that the potential for this show was through the roof (and I still believe that somewhat). However, it seems like these last few weeks, the show has gotten really slow and boring.

Re: TV Shows
^^ I dunno, the mask guy is already one of the coolest characters on recent television. There was a lull after the premier I agree, but I thought the most recent two episodes were pretty solid.

Re: TV Shows
Did anyone watch Rubicon on AMC? It aired over the summer and featured James Dale Badge from The Pacific and Pvt. Cowboy (Arliss Howard) from Full Metal Jacket. It started out very slowly, and then built up speed to its conclusion a few weeks ago. I hope it gets renewed...
Basically, the main character works for a shadowy government intelligence agency, one that processes information for the various security agencies (CIA, NSA, DIA etc.) He discovers something strange is going on there, on top of his normal day job. Worth checking out if you are into spy thrillers.

I started watching this and really like the first few episodes, but then nothing happened and then nothing happened again and then nothing happened some more, so I forgot about it. Good to hear it picked up at the end, may have to go back and watch, I like the music in it!Digitalgypsy66 wrote:Did anyone watch Rubicon on AMC?
Watched the 1st episode of Sherlock Holmes last night. Really well done, might be the best thing on TV right now.

I'm with you guys - I really had to fight through the middle episodes, but I think it paid off in the end. I really liked the last few episodes. I'll watch it again if it's picked up for a second season.eddysnake wrote:I started watching this and really like the first few episodes, but then nothing happened and then nothing happened again and then nothing happened some more, so I forgot about it. Re: TV Shows
Well dirt.
Caprica got cancelled with 5 episodes unaired. SyFy instead aired an episode of Star Trek: Next Generation. DVR picked it up, I thought it strange it was recording TNG when I didn't have it set that way. Apparently remaining episodes are airing in Canada on SPACE. http://www.spacecast.com/shows/caprica.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I wasn't really into Caprica, but after putting time into it to this point, I was sticking it out to the end, to see how they tied the end to the 2003 BSG mini-series.

The Event.
The wannabe LOST meets 24 series, but lives up to neither.
