That's what he gets for not welcoming you to The Machine.

BTW ... I doubt Stan actually signed anything to work part time. He's still liable to show up on The Fan in a month or 3.
Given the details of his CC assignments and the nature of the market right now, I would bet that Stan did get it in writing.

I think that some of the best on air talents on the Fan are John Phillips and Colin Dunlop, I wish they had a drive time show together instead of Seibel and Starkey. I have an hour plus commute home and I've been listening to the radio most days instead of listening to their schtick. The 5:40 free for all is getting to the point of ridiculousness. I got into a text argument with Starkey over the summer and can't listen to him without recalling his arrogance. Seibel was supposed to be a bigtime pickup from ESPN but he's running out of things to say and is becoming weird.

Worse than that -- he's a Madden wanna-be.

He covers the crap beats at the P-G (WVU football, Duquesne basketball) so how would be know anything about the major teams in town?

Yeah that's not an enviable assignment. I also think the golf writers and HS sports writers have crappy assignments as well. Dragging info out of 16 year olds for interviews has got to suck.

i wish they took less calls, or at least less idiot calls. i dont think they really have a screener find out exactly what people are planning to say. if someone has something intelligent to say then great. all I heard on the radio last night was people still calling in about Ben in Georgia.

Why does every radio announcer change the tone of their voice right before they're about to play back an interview? It goes right through me.

Anyone hear Gianotti lose it on that guy last night. He called in to complain about ben in georgia, etc. and was like the 3rd call in a row about that. Gianotti just blew up for like 3 minutes about how everyone needs to move on. Even Dunlap was pretty speechless.

i must have shut it off right before that. i was just sick of hearing the same things. thats kind of why I think they don't have a call screener.

Tom Grimm... stop putting this guy on air. All he does is rant for a half hour at a time with no real point. He doesn't take calls, he doesn't understand sports to the point of him being able to discuss them, he's just terrible.

I think they do because I heard one caller say something like, "your screener told me to stay away from this but im going to say it anyway."

I think I might be officially done with this station since I heard Bubba's voice. I've been one of the bigger supporters here, just being happy with the fact that we had a FM sports talk station. Now, I'm enraged.

I had never heard of that person before this morning, yet I know more about his junk than anyone's but my own.
