Stan Savran's on Mark Madden's show. Did he sign with Clear Channel?

Stan and Mark actually work pretty well together. It would be great if they could make a regular segment with Stan. Stan, Mark, Love the Show!

That's right, I thought they had done something before but I wasn't sure what. Thanks.Point Breeze Penguins wrote:They did a post-game show on 1250 for one season.Psychlone wrote:Stan and Mark actually work pretty well together. Re: 93.7 The Fan Now On
They took a call last night about some guy bemoaning the size of goalie equipment and how sooooooo many more goals were scored in the 80's blah blah we've heard all that before. The guys on air then started agreeing and bemoaning the goalie equipment blah blah. I sent them a text that said, "Brodeur arguably the best goalie the game has seen wears the smallest pads in the league and goals are down because of defensive schemes and the butterfly style."
They texted back, "Those are good points but that's not what we were talking about."
LOL WUT?

I'm annoyed by the twenty-two minute Pitt Is on the Fan ad and the 45-minute We Haz Highschool Football ad

I was in the car last nite and had the Westwood 1 MNF game on. Boomer started talking about how Favre was wrong for sending those texts and how the Jets and Vikings both knew about them. Then abruptly someone pulled the plug and there was a minute of dead air. I'm sure this was a national thing, just unnecessary censorship. If anyone took heat from those statements itd be Boomer not Westwood One.

Tonight Filaponi was taking calls about "worst Starting QB ever" in light of McCoy starting this weekend. Well in introducing the topic he stated McCoy had a "disappointing Senior season". Well I called up and said something to the effect of "How is going undefeated and playing in the National Title game disappointing?" also noted Colt won the Davey O'Brien and Johnny Unitas award as a Senior. I was then told "Thanks for the Call" and hung up on.

No idea what this is supposed to mean. God forbid they would break into telling us that they are the home of Pitt 24 hours a day.IronDukes37 wrote:what is the opposite concept of a "drinking game"?

I don't know who their producer is, but he's trying so hard to be part of that show with his constant audio drop ins.
Give it a f'n break.

Seems like filaponi can't talk in detail about any sport and especially about local sports. he always has topics like "what rule would you change in the nfl" or "guys you hate on other teams" or whatever. his show sucks unless miller is on it.Point Breeze Penguins wrote:Tonight Filaponi was taking calls about "worst Starting QB ever" in light of McCoy starting this weekend. I like Filliponi. He'll get better once he gets more acclimated to the city.

I heard Seibel yesterday, at the end of his show yesterday, tell a story about how his brother went to France during high school, took a picture of his "favre" while he was there, and showed it to him and his family. Then Seibel went on this rant, trying to be funny, on how he was sexually assaulted by his brother because of this picture. It was really, really uncomfortable.
