John Seibel absolutely sucks on The Fan. The dude talks alot, but says absolutely nothing. He also hosts the Pitt pregame show. Listened yesterday. Terrible. Bad audio, dead air, etc.

For me, it was back to when Ellis Cannon went.

As far as I'm concerned that improved the channel

I've actually been listening to local radio all this week. My car is getting repaired and the rental doesn't have satellite. How the heck does anyone listen to this garbage. There's so many commercials

Madden won't leave the X, not with them being the Pens' affiliate.

I remember when the ONLY radio sports talk was on WTAE 1250 with Myron in the early evening and followed by Stan.

Did Alice end up in Chick-ago? Or was it Philadel-phi?

Guy had a ton of knowledge but got on my nerves after about 15 minutes.

According to multiple industry sources, 1250 ESPN will cease to operate in its current manner as early as next week and most if not all full-time employees will be fired. The station will continue with a sports format until the end of the year and then switch to Radio Disney.

Present plans, according to sources, have the station carrying ESPN national programming almost exclusively until Dec. 31. On Jan. 1, the station will switch to Radio Disney, a format for pre-teens and younger that has been hugely successful and features talent such a Hannah Montana, Justin Bieber and Selana Gomez.

The Disney Corp., which owns ESPN, has been running Radio Disney at 540 on the AM dial (WWCS in Canonsburg). Disney's lease with WWCS expires at the end of the year. At that time, Radio Disney will move to 1250.

The station has been losing money for years, as much as $2 million a few years back. It has made significant cuts in personnel, beginning with the firing of Mark Madden in 2008, but nothing has stemmed the losses.

They lost $2M with Madden and no significant sports competition. Good Gawd.

I'm pumped. Bring on Stan and Guy!

I wouldn't mind Mike Logan, the wife beater, on 937 either.

The obvious question is that did 93.7 really put the nail in the coffin on this station? Or was it simply just losing mass amounts of money overtime lol.
