Re: 93.7 The Fan Now On
WTF. This station played the 'Boomer Esiason' show this morning, and they're airing nationally syndicated NFL broadcasts this season. I thought this station was supposed to be "all local sports, all the time". They're getting more and more like 1250 by the day.

Re: 93.7 The Fan Now On
I'm still not liking Giannotti in the morning. I liked the original version of ABC. Giannotti is still struggling to fit in and really sticks out to me in a bad way given the amount of local knowledge that Alexander and Colony have. GG would work better back on his own. Sorta the same goes for Vinny "Da Chin".
And get JB back on the mic. Wasn't anchor material, but I found him quite complementary to the others.

I would say those three are all good.Kicksave wrote:So they aren't bad but they aren't good either.skullman80 wrote:Starkey isn't bad.Kicksave wrote:Judging by this thread, there isn't a single good radio personality on this radio station.
Mueller who used to do 2-6 am wasn't bad either. Not sure what spot he is in now.
Colony isn't bad either.
JB was good on the morning show.
Alexander is annoying.

I really like the fact 93.7FM is carrying NFL games on Monday's and Sunday's.

Re: 93.7 The Fan Now On
I've noticed that Giannotti and Alexander tend to talk over each other on the Morning Show quite a bit. Alexander kind of drove the original lineup with Colony and Burton as complementary guys. It seems now that they've got Giannotti and Alexander going back and forth over who is driving the show - especially Giannotti, who never seems to waste any chance he gets to do an impression of someone. Colony is just kind of off on the side now. Just kind of a different dynamic to the show now, and it hasn't made it better.Eismann wrote:I'm still not liking Giannotti in the morning. The pre-produced songs are out of control. I wish they'd kill the "John Russell singing" crap; it's just not funny. And I don't know what Lily and Edward in Bloomfield bring that practically merits them each getting their own segments on the show now, but it's just bad radio.

Re: 93.7 The Fan Now On
The morning show would be fine if they would have moved Alexander instead of Burton. However I am sure with Alexander's responsibilities at FSN he can only do mornings or 10-2.
By the way. Alexander just talked at length about his basketball career and how his high ankle sprains made him quit the game.

Re: 93.7 The Fan Now On
Seriously. It was like he was "speaking from experience" on what it was like to play sports on a high ankle sprain. Also in his speaking of his "basketball career" he mentioned how it was even hard to play scratch golf with said sprain.

It's actually not horrible, it's one of those oldies stations that uses a sat feed. The music's decent.IronDukes37 wrote:Must not be able to pick up the Pickle in the city, I tried to tune in today and got some **** UPitt radio station talking about eating dandelions to save the world."92.1 the Pickle."
That is sad/hilarious that 92.1 WKPL in Ellwood City has comparable ratings.

Re: 93.7 The Fan Now On
I dislike the morning show now. GG and Alexander dislike each other, that much is evident. It's just awkward. I'm actually gravitating back towards the X"s morning show, as they are talking about hockey again.
I gave 93.7 a chance, but it's now a flip to when there's a commercial on.
