Know what nobody has ever done? A parody of American Pie about a local sports figure. Especially one that rhymes "IC Light."

I heard that flipping through the channels this morning, and listened to the song for a bit. I had to let the fail seep in.PghSkins wrote:Know what nobody has ever done? A parody of American Pie about a local sports figure. Especially one that rhymes "IC Light."

Sports talk stations should fire anyone who says in a show prep meeting, "I know, we should do a parody song about...."Malkamaniac wrote:I heard that flipping through the channels this morning, and listened to the song for a bit. Then please pass that memo over to Mike & Mike. They have that "Liam" who whoever produces do parody songs all the time and they are roughly 50% annoying, 50% stupid, and 0% funny. Then everytime those two idiots practicly pull a muscle from laughing then talk for 20 minutes about how stupid it was.

Mike and Mike's are pure genius compared to what I heard on the Fan this morning. Then I had the misfortune to tune in again this afternoon while they were playing it.DudeMan2766 wrote:PghSkins wrote:Sports talk stations should fire anyone who says in a show prep meeting, "I know, we should do a parody song about...."Malkamaniac wrote: I heard that flipping through the channels this morning, and listened to the song for a bit. I had the horrible experience of hearing Grimm the other day. I can totally see why he lost his job on the X. He's boring, has no clear train of thought and rambled on for 20 min segments. I texted him at one point and told him to stop rambling, take some calls, and at least try and act like a talk show host.

Re: 93.7 The Fan Now On
pretty much any and all parody songs made by anyone named other than Weird Al are very stupid and not funny, actually all parody songs are because Weird Al hasn't been clever since that Michael Jackson song, and that was even a stretch.

Actually I thought "White and Nerdy" was pretty clever. I am struggling to figure out if the "Buzzed Driving" commercials are really about distracted Driving...

Id love to put them and Grimm in the sub next to the science center, and sink it to the bottom of the river.

I actually wouldn't mind Vinnie if he was partnered with someone else. Cook is just way too annoying to be on radio. As for Grimm - I hope he loses his spot soon on The Fan as well. Couldn't stand him on The X or Pens HD2. That voice of his is just nails on the chalkboard.

Judging by this thread, there isn't a single good radio personality on this radio station.

Mueller who used to do 2-6 am wasn't bad either. Not sure what spot he is in now.
Colony isn't bad either.
