It seems like everyone h8s most of their hosts

I actaully think the FAN is pretty good better then everyone else I have heard.

There are a few that I would get rid of:

Paul Alexander
Ron Cook
Troy whatever the **** his name is.

The rest are pretty good.

I listen to Savran every day, but that afternoon show pretty lousy, IMO.

Not a big fan of Gianotti
The rest are somewhere between meh and good.

I prefer the fan morning show over the others. I don't care for the afternoon drive show and turn on 1250, Madden, or my CD player depending on comercials/music.

1) Because I like the FAN, or I listen to Bendel on 970.

2) The reception sucks.

Maybe I'm just loyal, but I like Mike Logan. He is getting better. Scot Paulsen is fine. Chris Mack and Ken Laird are fine. Paul Zeise was a train wreck talking with the blogger "puck daddy" in early april.
Generally they all get the same sports guests and news.

I'm just the opposite. I like Paulsen but think Logan has a long way to go before he's even passable. He's just awful.

Off topic but not sure where to put it. Since we're talking about guys voice on the Fan, has anyone ever heard Petros Papadakis from the Petros and Money show on Fox Sports? This guy has the absolute most wretched voice I've ever heard come out of a human being and ALL he does is scream. If I happen to be listening to that station and he comes on doing a commercial, I litterally have to change it. No matter what volume he almost blows out the speakers.

Yes, he's terrible. In addition he does PAC 10 football on FCS and subs for Jim Rome from time to time. He's like Vinnie Richicci mated with Mike the Mad Dog Russo, moved out west and went on roids.

I like Mike Logan and Chris Mack. (I know a lot of people don't like Chris Mack but I enjoy his sense of humor; it's very on par with mine. ) I think Scott Paulsen is generic & boring. I hate Ken Laird discussing anything but football (his hockey 'talk' is embarrassing) - also, I think I could beat him up.

Listened to the Fan while in PGH this weekend. And it reiterates the fact that I CANNOT STAND caller-driven talk radio of any kind.

Turned on the Ron Cook show when I got in the car. Ok, cool, they're talking about the Paul Martin/Zbynek Michalek signing. But the discussion was the same thing over and over for an hour. Yawn.

I like Rocco DeMaro's gig after the Pirates games. I think he has the right edge and handles the callers with ease, and can keep the dialogue going without getting stale.

The Sunday evening guy (7 to 10-ish) is awful. You could tell he was on the radio just angling for a reaction. I had to laugh, though, when the late-night guy on Sunday wanted to know where everybody was watching fireworks ... and then wanted to talk about the Pirates. That was good stuff.
