A plan, I like it.Corvidae wrote:Block out the sun with newcler booms?bhaw wrote:if nature didn't make it so hot, we wouldn't need air conditioners. Corvi, I think it's time you stop blaming the solutions to the problem and start blaming the source. It begins with nature making it hot so we need a/c units. Fix that and no more a/c.

I have an old 8" Meade reflector, but it has been collecting dust for the last year or two. Need to head out to Amish Country and start using it again.SolidSnake wrote:Anyone here have and use a telescope?

I need to find a reliable and good quality stream of the Science channel. I've gone without it for too long. When I stay for 1-2 weeks occasionally with my g/f, that's all I do is watch that station.SolidSnake wrote:New episode this weds at 10BadHands71 wrote:Looks good. hahahaha.....this is truly funny. Since the ridiculously overblown and fabricated swine flu "crisis" started, I have marveled at the continuous line of overhyped BS that we were fed. Now, that moronic paranoia has cost us over a quarter of a billion dollars. i am fascinated by the life in deep oceans. it is crazy to see how things evolve with no light, little food, and a harsh environment with immense pressure and little heat.

Re: LGP Science Thread
http://www.popsci.com/science/article/2 ... ssils-showScientists unveiled fossils from West Africa Thursday that turn paleontology on its head -- they push the origin of multicellular life back by 1.5 billion years.
The fossils are 2.1 billion years old, the scientists say, fully three times older than previous estimates of when complex life evolved. The fossils were reported in the British journal Nature
I love how little we know about this place. I wonder about how they can guess the actual timelines of these things. They were off on this by 1.5 billion years, how do we know they are even getting that right?
