A new study suggests that how well you lie as a child is a strong indicator of how successful you’ll be as an adult.

Does this surprise anyone that people that are full of crap are successful? :D

I wonder if hippies are against the destruction of plants and nature for scientific research?

Interesting philosophical question.

We need a hippie to answer this question!

It's actually possible for someone to be obese because their mother ate poorly when she was pregnant. The baby would interpret her diet as a nutrient deficient world and develop a slower metabolism.

It also thought that being obese can somehow be related to the way your body interacts with beneficial bacteria in the intestinal. But that's a new thing and still inconclusive.

But yeah, just being lazy doesn't always make for someone to be fat.

Agreed. Everything works in conjunction with something else and this thing works because of that thing and this thing has something that this thing needs and without it we die etc etc....

It's amazing indeed.

It's funny that after Darwin, the idea was that you're born with certain genes and that's that. That's is true to a point, but we now know that in many cases different genes can become active or inactive, meaning that our environment really does change how we are physically.

Another book recommendation, but this one is probably my favorite: Survival of the Sickest

Chapter 7 is called "Methyl Madness" and explains much of what I just pointed out.
