I really was impressed by how happy everyone in chat (and the thread, apparently) was for Hossa. I didn't realize the soreness had totally healed for other Pens fans, but I'm glad it has. I'll echo those sentiments. Congrats Marian and the Blackhawks on a tremendous season. You earned it, you deserve it. Once again, the best team in the NHL won the Cup. Here's to a Game 7 in Pgh against the 'Hawks next June!

I'm glad the Hawks beat the Flyers, but this Hossa love is rather unexpected.

Def not I hope to laugh at the Hawks cap situation soon and hope they suffer and struggle and go without another cup for a bazillion years.

To be fair, he played his balls off and earned it.

It was a lose-lose situation. Hossa or Flyers. The way i feel is that we dont have to hear about the Flyers as the defending champs 6 times next year. Hossa played hard and earned it- also i live outside of Philly and was very pleased so everyone back on the Phillies bandwagon. The one guy in my office keep referring to "billy" Leno.

Not even close to a lose/lose. Let go of the Hossa hate. He left to try to win a cup, he got to game 7 of the final. he took a chance and it came up craps. That's all. Him winning the cup doesn't compare to the Flyers winning it. Can't find who said it, but say to yourself, "I want the Flyers to win a cup". Bothers me out just to think it. Though because i am somewhat twisted, I would have taken some peverse pleasure if the flyers won last night because a puck went in of Hossa's foot

It's a win-win for me that Hossa won. It means:

A.) Philly lost
B.) There's a lot of bitterness\resentment in Detroit because he left them & signed with their rival.

Yeah, it's actually pretty amusing.....what was a thread about Hossa has turned into a comparison of Toews vs Crosby and who is better defensively?????

http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/index ... 361&st=180

There's this little gem from HankthaTank: "The second Crosby can step on the ice during any PK time is the split second I can give a **** about these 2 being compared. Crosby cannot play both ends, its fact. Gretzky's point totals are definitely sickening but I would never consider him the best ever."

I'm trying to remember who the guy from that site was that made me stop reading it. I don't even remember if he said anything annoying, but his picture made me want to commit homicide. I'll see if I can find him on there.

Google-translated interview with Hossa (Crosby, Penguins and Detroit players all apparently sent him congrats notes):
