mmmmm cow brains
The concept centers on a particular protein called clathrin, which has a unique knack for assembling itself into versatile structures that foster the formation of complex molecules. Clathrin is present in every cell in the human body, but cows possess a vast wealth of it in their bovine brains that make them an ideal source for the stuff. And given the right biochemical directions, researchers think they can coax clathrin into creating better batteries and solar cells

Sounds like MJ was way ahead of this with Billie Jean?

In the French city of Toulouse, the newest craze in sustainable energy is about to hit the streets. Literally. Inspired by a nightclub in Rotterdam, Netherlands, the city of Toulouse has begun investigating the installation of energy-absorbing sidewalk panels that would harvest pedestrian power to fuel the street lights.

The panels, made by the Dutch company Sustainable Dance Club, compress by 0.4 inches every time they are stepped on, and a motor converts that mechanical energy into electrical power. According to Sustainable Dance Club, a person dancing on one of the tiles can generate between 2 and 20 watts, depending on their weight. Toulouse plans to install the panels in the city center, and test them out for two weeks.

I have gotten away from visiting this site very often, but, this is a good science site. http://www.daviddarling.info/

I found out about the site after reading the guy's book Equations of Eternity, which I really enjoyed. Its a very quick read that I would recommend.

Scientists in the US have succeeded in developing the first living cell to be controlled entirely by synthetic DNA.
I thought of something else at first glace of that picture.

Japan promised holograms for the 2022 World Cup. They said that fans will be able to go into their home stadiums and watch the game being played in 3D as a hologram on the actual soccer field. :thumb:
