i'm watching this week's community right now, DUH
Love Community--the Goodfellas parody was transcendent TV. But I just saw a preview for next week's ep, and they spoof shoot-em-up movies. After Thursday's "college movie" jokes, I'm sort of worried that all the meta, genre-spoofing stuff is going to get old.

Does anyone think Chuck will make it past this season.

I love that show, but it feels like they are trying to tie up a few loose ends just in case.

I read somewhere that Ben Silverman singlehandedly kept that show around. Now he's gone, so maybe.

Mrs. Tif and I don't watch a lot of serialized stuff, so we almost never tune into network programming. Usually, we focus on the lifestyle and cooking channels (chs 229 - 232 on your DirecTV dial)., but there are some notable exceptions. Our weekly list looks a little like this:

Holmes on Homes
House Hunters (and HH International)
Designed to Sell
Molto Mario (reruns on Fine Living Network)
Jamie At Home (Jamie Oliver's cooking show that focused on home gardening and family-style cooking)
Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations
In Search of Perfection (Heston Blumenthal's BBC cooking series from a couple years ago)
Top Chef and Project Runway when they are 'in season'
Iron Chef (reruns of the original Japanese series on Fine Living)
AKC Dog Shows
Dogs 101
The Office
30 Rock
Flight of the Conchords (hopefully HBO will bring Brett and Jemain back)
Breaking Bad (my wife can't get enough of this show, but I've never seen an episode)
The Cleaner (same as Breaking Bad)
Real Time with Bill Maher
Penn & Teller's ****!

And of course there's special programming like The Pacific, and whatnot. And I often record special interest shows like Showdown: Air Combat, or Sports Science, etc.

I love it too, but it doesn't look good
Sources indicate a strong performance from “Chuck” last night would have brought the struggling series an early renewal for next season, but the show itself only matched its all-time low again on Monday.

Its 1.9 in preliminary 18-49 leaves it only a tick above the 1.8 all-time low scored by the penultimate “Heroes,” also on the NBC bubble.

NBC announces its fall slate in 13 days.

I read somewhere last week that the owners of the homes he remodels only pay about 10%, at most, of the remodel.

Breaking Bad is the most fascinating show on TV, IMO. I don't think I ever saw Bryan Cranston in anything else before, but when I watch him act, I feel like he is the greatest actor on the planet.

Everything about this show is phenomenal.

Just awesome. Season 1 was as good as it gets, and Season 2 has been pretty solid so far too. It has almost everything I want in a TV show.

That's because most of the time this show is actually used in court cases. I remember watching the first few, and Holmes stated that they were filming this show to expose what to look out for in terrible work, and that most are used against the person in court.

Aaaaaabsolutely. The cast is pretty impressive in general, but they're all getting poached to star in other stuff, so the show might be dunzo after this season.

I've been hearing about it and she certainly would be a good draw to the show, might have to check it out, what is it about?

The main characters are all struggling/failed actors, writers, comedians, etc., and they work for a catering company. Each episode is set at a different party, and it follows them through their night. It does a good job of keeping it light and generally hilarious while still sort of focusing on what it feels like to be sort of lost and stuck at a dead-end job.

The comedy credentials for the cast and crew are pretty impressive, and I'd definitely recommend it 100 percent. I think season 1 is streaming on netflix, and season 2 is on the air right now, but they're putting all the eps on starz.com.
