Re: *** JELLYFISH INVASION I GAME THREAD *** (Part 2)
btw...in case anything happens to the last person to open the device.... i've been seashell buddies with pfidc this whole game and we've talked a good bit, i recently asked him if he knew why he didn't die. he said he wasn't sure. i voiced my concern with him being either converted or an ISK or something like that...he didn't respond and that was a few days ago. take it fwiw.

He's at work so he'll be checking in on his phone. He won't be the one posting a write-up.count2infinity wrote:TWC was replying (he doesn't have his status hidden) and then he disappeared... i'm so impatient...

So I guess I missed the whole voting for the device? Crap. Some Monty nonetheless
Mr. Praline: I'll tell you what's wrong with it, my lad. 'E's dead, that's what's wrong with it!
Owner: No, no, 'e's uh,...he's resting.
Mr. Praline: Look, matey, I know a dead parrot when I see one, and I'm looking at one right now.
Owner: No no he's not dead, he's, he's restin'! Remarkable bird, the Norwegian Blue, idn'it, ay? Beautiful plumage!
Mr. Praline: The plumage don't enter into it. It's stone dead.
Owner: Nononono, no, no! 'E's resting!
Mr. Praline: All right then, if he's restin', I'll wake him up! (shouting at the cage) 'Ello, Mister Polly Parrot! I've got a lovely fresh cuttle fish for you if you
show...
(owner hits the cage)
Owner: There, he moved!
Mr. Praline: No, he didn't, that was you hitting the cage!
Owner: I never!!
Mr. Praline: Yes, you did!
Owner: I never, never did anything...
Mr. Praline: (yelling and hitting the cage repeatedly) 'ELLO POLLY!!!!! Testing! Testing! Testing! Testing! This is your nine o'clock alarm call!
(Takes parrot out of the cage and thumps its head on the counter. Throws it up in the air and watches it plummet to the floor.)
Mr. Praline: Now that's what I call a dead parrot.
Owner: No, no.....No, 'e's stunned!
Mr. Praline: STUNNED?!?
Owner: Yeah! You stunned him, just as he was wakin' up! Norwegian Blues stun easily, major.
Mr. Praline: Um...now look...now look, mate, I've definitely 'ad enough of this. That parrot is definitely deceased, and when I purchased it not 'alf an hour ago, you assured me that its total lack of movement was due to it bein' tired and shagged out following a prolonged squawk.
Owner: Well, he's...he's, ah...probably pining for the fjords.
Mr. Praline: PININ' for the FJORDS?!?!?!? What kind of talk is that?, look, why did he fall flat on his back the moment I got 'im home?

Re: *** JELLYFISH INVASION I GAME THREAD *** (Part 2)
Hello, Hello.
First a few matters of business:
I'm finally back. Last week was the last week of registration for my master's thesis and I had to have both a prospectus (10p) and a proposal (20p) signed and turned in by about 10 different people, who each had to read it and revise it. Over the last two months I've spent a ton of time trying to get them finished and revised and even moreso last week with the deadline. I barely slept last week and basically the only time I was on here (outside of being online on here since I typically have it up on my browser) was during pens game or a few random seconds throughout the day. I originally signed up to play because I thought I was mostly done with my thesis stuff well before the deadline, then my advisor roughly changed everything, including my topic and case studies, so needless to say that changed.
Regarding the game, I'm good. I understand the suspicion there, I really don't have a good defense except above. If it helps you think about it, the holiday wars game when I was the godfather, I'm a strategist, so it helps me to be active and try to get people to do stuff they wouldn't normally. The fact I haven't been around should help show that that probably means I'm not red, but outside of that I really can't offer much proof.
Just in case its necessary and because I love this quote.
