Re: NHL WARS I GAME THREAD
Troy Loney, known ginger:
Always took great care of his hair, and would go in for weekly highlights and trimmings at the local Buttmanville barbershop. This Tuesday was no different. Walking in right before closing time, he asked the barber for the usual. "No problem, just let me go in the back and get the tropical punch kool-aid I use to dye, Troy. Go ahead and get in the chair in the meantime."
(Kind of a shady barbershop, but remember that G. Buttman is the mayor of this place)
Troy sat down and closed his eyes, awaiting his favorite relaxing activity. Troy would never open them again, as a shadowy figure lept out and gave Troy the Luca Brasi special.
The barber returned to the room a minute too late. Troy Loney - Superstar lay dead.
Meanwhile, across town, a large commotion broke out. The village investigated, finding a trail of blood that led nowhere, and no further clues. Strange goings-on in Buttmanville.
Still alive in BUTTMANVILLE:
Beerman - Rico Fata
Shafnutz - Bob Errey
Cup Keeper - Don Cherry
Malkamaniac - Marty Straka
sdm5055 - Steve McKenna
mac5155 - Joe Dziedzic
Zarovich - Marian Hossa
Redwill - Joey Mullen
count2infinity - Eddie Olczyk
Kicksave - Chris Bourque
dagny - Jaromir Jagr (killed night 1)
Juice - Michael Peca (killed night 1)
jwienand - Scott Hartnell (waived by the village day 1)
crayz - Ogie Ogilthorpe (killed night 2)
Azkar - Pierre McGuire (waived by the village day 2)
npv708 - Charlie Conway (killed night 3)
Pavel Bure(killed night 3)
Senka - Ryan Whitney (waived by the village day 3)
JS(c) - Gary Roberts (killed night 4)
Hockeyguru - Dino Ciccarelli (waived by the village day 4)
jaysmiter - Wojtek Wolski (killed night 5)
tfrizz - Joe Sakic (waived by the village day 5)
MWB - Jiri Slegr (killed by someone set him up the bomb day 5)
PFiDC - Ian Moran (killed night 6)
IrishEyes - Max Talbot (waived by the village day 6)
Troy Loney - (as himself) (killed night 7)
It is now day 7. With 10 alive, it takes 6 to waive. Good luck.

Re: NHL WARS I GAME THREAD
Now that we are in another day phase, I am assuming malkamaniac can protect himself again. I have done more thinking about kicksave since the writeup earlier. On other votes, he tended to jump in pretty early on votes for goons along with me, so I am considerably less suspicious of him for the time being. Since malkamaniac is protected, one person stands out to me the most. Beerman was the only other one that voted for IE after I posted my long diatribe arguing against the vote. He cast the final vote, thus ending any chance at saving the town doctor, even after I said we should hold off. Since Troy is dead, and malks is safe for another day, this is a no brainer for me:
waive beerman
And for all we know, malkamaniac isn't even the goon doctor at all. We have made significant mistakes like that before, and he could be a friendly RP that was just horribly misguided. Do we have a detective that can check him out tonight? I have been on a pretty solid roll lately, and I am feeling this one.

Re: NHL WARS I GAME THREAD
We're sitting pretty, I think. We've got two baddies on the hook.
Kicksave is indeed goon. I'm sure of it. The only question is whether to go with him or Malka today.
I've been watching Kicksave closely for several days now. When I said that I wanted more talking before the tfrizz vote, it was him I wanted to talk. As it turns out, the #7 tfrizz vote damned him in my eyes.
I went with IrishEyes the next day to see about her and Malka. I don't get Malka's play. It was suicidal. Unless he can't be killed today for some reason?
But nevermind. Unless someone has some idea about Malka, Kicksave is the play, here, folks.

Re: NHL WARS I GAME THREAD
Looking back, beerman was one of the first votes for tfrizz, and he even defended himself to kicksave. Sorry beerman....I was still riding the emotion from last night's voteredwill wrote:We're sitting pretty, I think. We've got two baddies on the hook.

When does malkamaniac's protection kick in? Today or tonight? For now, I will go back to my kicksave argument, because it was pretty damned compelling.

i was...but can we please not all bandwagon on someone right away... i'm not voting for anyone right now until i hear more and more. I'm torn on cupkeeper because my gut is telling me that he's goon and looking at his voting style i think it's goon. Also the other person that was on cupkeeper's case was zaro... the voting session that had one person voting for zaro, it was a goon, so i think zaro might be clear.

Re: NHL WARS I GAME THREAD
IMO, Kicksave is an open and shut case. There is no doubt in my mind he is a goon.......between the cases redwill and I established, this is undeniable now. I don't see how we CAN'T vote for him.count2infinity wrote:i was...but can we please not all bandwagon on someone right away... i'm not voting for anyone right now until i hear more and more. Re: NHL WARS I GAME THREAD
He was saved from killing on night 6. So presumably he only has night protection. But that's what I don't get about his IrishEyes ploy. He had to know we'd go after him the next day...shafnutz05 wrote:When does malkamaniac's protection kick in? Today or tonight?
Surely there are not two Superstar Doctors. The game would be too unbalanced for that. I've been thinking he the independent. But why put himself out there like that if his goal is to survive?
Many questions about Malka. None about Kicksave.

Re: NHL WARS I GAME THREAD
Are you serious? Have you looked at my post back on page 33 about Kicksave, along with redwill's post? Not to mention his late vote on tfrizz. Not to mention the fact that four minutes after Malkamaniac came out as the "fake healer" he immediately defended Malks and tried to say it made perfect sense? I have had him pegged since two nights ago. This is not a pointless bandwagon, I have been calling for this from the rooftops.count2infinity wrote:we might need to take a look at these 4 more closely... see why they're jumping so quickly.slappybrown wrote:Count
