The post is removed from the database once deleted, but the mod logs show the action, poster, time, and date. When I saw a deletion from you, it only added to my suspicion.

Here is the info, minus your IP number, to "jog your memory", since you don't "remember".

well then whats the big effen deal?

the only reason that editing is such a big deal is that people can go back to every one of their old posts and edit it to nothing, thus making the game lame. if you delete a post you just made, and no one else saw it, then go got away with one.

calling out a guy for deleting a post is pretty friggin lame.

The significance is the person broke the rules. Slugs break rules.

An edit is rule breaking we are witness to. A deletion is a rule break we wouldn't know about otherwise.

I approached bhaw and asked him if it was an unfair advantage.

He felt, if the person hadn't broken the rules, then there would be nothing for me to see, therefor no advantage. Since he broke the rules, he was fair game.

Trust me, I didn't go into posting it lightly.

And why such a sudden and snappy defense? Took me a little aback.

i dont even care about the game at this point and my post had nothing to do with the this current game. the post deletion is just a silly thing that has become an issue. it doesnt give anyone an advantage for that person to delete their post. none whatsoever. its a completely different animal than editing. editing changes a statement/position that a player had made. a deletion is right at the time of the post and wont effect the outcome of a later round of the game as the other players wouldn't be privy to the information contained in that post--unless another player had read it which would hurt that player (but its their fault for posting something without thinking it through and taking that risk).

calling a player out for it is just wrong. if you weren't a mod, then this whole thing wouldnt have even come up. it ruins the integrity of the game because how do we know that you aren't a slug and you or one of your slugs deleted a post--are we really to trust you to come out and say "oh hey, so and so deleted a post...teehee".

i digress.
