Cannot believe that 5 Goal 3rd Period.Took advantage of a weak NJ Defense with simple basic hockey.
Ned is by far the reason they had this chance to Win.His save on the Near SHG at 3-1 was huge.
2 Goals for Sid.2 Goals for Geno.Felt like we all went back in time the last 30 minutes.
Still no excusing the first 45 Minute Zero Effort.Reilly Smith was an absolute disaster this entire game.
The effort from Bunting and Eller in the 3rd was noticeable,they stepped it up.

Rarely witnessed a game like this one.At 3-1 the Pens were finished.Within that short amount if time it ended up a 6-3 Victory.They out worked and out skated the Devils and hard to fathom are now only 3 Points out if a Playoff Spot.

The Sky opened up in that 3rd Period.Hard to grasp what went down.They were done at 3-1.
Thursday is a huge game.Have to find a way to get that one in the W Column.

Well, it could go back to my theory that the Penguins are better with less skilled players that will stick to Sullivan's system and not be overly fancy. 2-3 years ago, we had a bunch of players go down all at once, to the point where Blueger and Carter were playing 2nd line center...and the team wasn't playing half bad.

If Sullivan and Dubas can open their eyes to this over the summer, and create a more balanced lineup on lines one through three, and then have a 4th line energy/defensive line, maybe they can still pull together a final run next season.

Ship out Jarry, ship out Smith....get a few younger guys in here, make sure you've got some guys on line 3 that can score 15 goals, either hope Graves rebounds or have enough extra cap space where he can ride the bench if he's that bad.
