I cant wait for the LGP cival war leading up to Dec 29th. Thread after thread discussing why people should/shouldnt boo and why it is/isnt classy. Jagr deserves every chant and every jeer he gets from now on. Think about how much you loved this guy, and he never gave a crap about us. And Talbot, any video tribute or standing ovation that he WOULD have gotten had he signed with any other team should be scrapped. Thats the price you pay when you sign with the Flyers. These guys are millionaires, lets not go overboard next Fall worrying about sparing their feelings. The Penguins and us fans don't always have to take the "high road" And that in no way means that booing these guys would be taking the low road at all.

So looks like it wasn't about the money and he just didn't want to come back...makes it an even bigger slap in the face.

One of the many reasons Mike Rupp is awesome:

Via his twitter tonight (after going on about how he's going to miss Pens):

I havn't read this whole thread, so shoot me if this idea has already been suggested.

Should Jagr be removed from the Trib Penguins All-Time team?

Im giving Rupp a standing ovation and a video tribute before Max Talbot gets one.

I know yinz might not like to admit this, but maybe Ted Leonsis was right about what he said about Jagr when the Caps jetisoned him to the Rangers. :face:

No, but his virtual display at the CEC and any other photos/portraits/murals should be.

Agreed. Shero also said that Rupp went back to him with the Rangers offer and gave him a chance and would take a little less to stay, it just didn't work out...

Wish Rupp nothing but the best....

Rupper could certainly teach Jagr a thing or two about class.

What Jagr failed to realize is that he could have made much more than $1.3 mil in peanutbutter sales in Pittsburgh.

They almost have to get rid of the virtual display. Someone will trash the thing. To me, that's the worst thing about it. There will be a, what, 5-6 year period which will basically be ignored. Maybe it's just because those were my first couple years as a fan, I don't know. Oh well. Watch his groin be acting up on the 29th...
