Re: Penguins want Jagr back?!
It really will be interesting to see if they assign #68 to a minor leaguer during camp. They obviously haven't been doing it in recent years but if he burnt the bridge for good this time, they could put the number back into circulation. If I recall, both Goligoski and Bissonnette were issued 67 and someone may have even worn 65.

You do mean all the irrational distress about Jagr not signing that low offer from Shero, right?

I wonder what Montreal offered. He wouldn't even go play with his buddy. Purely a money signing.

Re: Penguins want Jagr back?!
I don't understand why Pens fans took Jagr's comments so personally 10 years ago or why they take his actions so personally today.
I can understand Lemieux feeling like he was betrayed since they were allegedly friends, but there is no way this can end well for Jagr or the Flyers.
Jagr destroyed the Caps for a few seasons and if he stays around long enough he can destroy the Flyers 11/12 season as well.

The Pens should re-acquire Hal Gill and give #68 to him.Henry Hank wrote:It really will be interesting to see if they assign #68 to a minor leaguer during camp. I support giving a player #68. Would be so hilarious.

Good call. Cookes on probation though, doesn't mean he can't take out a knee.
