Also weird is that that Star Cams (1 on OV, 1 on Toews) are not synced up with the game. They are a few seconds ahead, so you can see what's happening before it happens.

Live Extra. I watch a ton of English soccer on this site, haha.nocera wrote:bhaw wrote:Watching this on NBC Sports so my kid can watch her show. The overhead cam you can switch to is pointed at some odd angle where it's not even showing the full ice. Weird choice of angles.

Very cool. Thanks. Still need to figure out how to change angles.

They did a good job setting this up, it looks nice. Not happy that the caps look to be a real team this year.

Its gotta be impossible to track the puck when it goes from sun to shade like that

The "refs you suck" and "who cares" after an opposing team goal announcement feels very amateur hockey-ish.

There's a PIP option at the top right of the main picture. When you open it up, you have options of what angle to watch, and you can swap it with the main view if you choose to do so.nocera wrote:Avyran wrote:Live Extra. If it wouldn't put my job at risk, I'd e-mail a couple of people and tell them where they can stick that cable cam. Hockey has always been criticized because you can't follow the puck on TV. It's gotten better with the advent of HD and better camera work. And then NBC trots out this damn cable cam for the 2nd straight year and you totally lose where the puck is every time they go to it.MalkinIsMyHomeboy wrote:The moving camera thing is giving me a headache

NHL should look at how football is shot. They have the cable cam, and it's used very rarely. Most of the time it's only used between plays and for replays. NHL was so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should.

Specifically, the cable cam is NEVER used during live play. Always during replays.nocera wrote:NHL should look at how football is shot. They have the cable cam, and it's used very rarely. I like the Winter Classic games (read: not the other 20 outdoor games) and you have to admit, they've been pretty fun to watch lately

I like them as well. I just wish more teams were involved. I'm sick of seeing the same old teams playing outdoors.

I don't know why they do the handshake line. It's a regular season game in January. No need for that.

I'd say act like you've been there before but you know how that goes with that crap franchise. It's ok to be happy and celebrate a little but the only thing missing was the booming confetti cannons.

I'm glad they didn't pick the Flyers to play the Caps. Would've been so lame.nocera wrote:I like them as well. I just wish more teams were involved. I'm sick of seeing the same old teams playing outdoors.
Canadiens should play next year assuming Boston gets it, then it would be fun to get maybe St Louis vs the Avs or something in 2017

If the penguins celebrate a goal like that, 4 guys involved gets hurt
