I can't even imagine.
The ticketing systems that I've used all auto-fill in the vitals once you select the requestor ID.

I'm Tier II, so the ticket details are handjammed by the monkeys at the 800 number. I'd just be happy if they started with the right template. ;)

The fact that people use "hacks" to describe "tips". Life hacks, Cooking hacks, etc. They're not hacks.

I had a strange thing happen to me this past weekend.

Our house is under contract to be sold. Part of the process is to get an appraisal so the bank will loan the money to the new homeowners. We were a bit nervous about this, since our neighborhood hasn't been doing great in regards to comps. We wanted to make our house look immaculate for the appraiser, since we thought it may sway him to appraise it at the selling price.

Our realtor had been texting me saying the guy should be in contact with me soon, and she told him to give us some notice so we knew he was coming. Long story short, the guy calls me as I'm driving in the snow on Sunday, but I let it go to voicemail because the roads were bad. I had no clue it was him as I'd never talked to him before. We were about 40 minutes away from home at the time. When we pulled up to our house, there's a stranger trying to get into our front door. He also looked very unkempt, so I'm wondering if somebody is trying to break in. I say excuse me, can I help you. He says he called me and left a voicemail, that he was there to appraise the house. He said all he needed to do was find the A/C unit. He had already gone in the house and done the appraisal.

Are you kidding me?? Trying to keep my calm, I told him it would have been nice if we would have had a little more notice. Our house was a mess, and there could have been things in the house like money or valuables laying around. Luckily there wasn't, but sheesh!

There's nothing we could do other than call our realtor and tell her what happened. She may turn him into the board of appraisers or whatever association it is he belongs to. But we also don't want to tick him off to the point he appraises the house for less that what we sold it for. If he does appraise it for less, I'm throwing the book at him!
