It appears as though Rakell will be activated from LTIR on Saturday as well.

Will Rakell come back with a scoring touch this time?

According to Kingerski, Rakell was last guy off the ice this morning...a sign that he may not be ready to go tonight.
And 30 seconds after posting this, Sullivan confirms Rakell is not playing tonight.

Ruhwedel is off IR, Rust now on IR.
Next they'll do a switcheroo and extend Rust to LTIR to make room for Rakell.

Just in time to take hm out of any possible trade discussions ...Mike Sullivan provided an update on Reilly Smith: "Reilly is being evaluated more today, but I would categorize him as longer-term with an upper-body injury."

I'm hoping they call up Poulin and give him an extended look. He's the last player they have that has 10-20 goal scoring potential. Everyone else is a plugger/grinder.

That would be cool but I think we all know what is going to happen. Harkins to 3LW and Hinostroza dresses at 4LW.

Rust to IR; Gruden recalled from WBS (Poulin still out injured; day to day seems to have become week to week, unofficially)

Some good news on the WBS injury front, as Zohorna and Poulin returned to the lineup tonight. Zohorna-Poulin-Hinostroza was the top line. Zohorna had a goal and an assist, Hinostroza had 2 goals. Poulin had 3 apples.

Matt Vensel
@mattvensel
Jake Guentzel has joined the group for the morning skate. He’s in a non-contact jersey but another step in the right direction.
Well attended for an optional. 12 skaters.

Re: 23-24 Penguins Injury Thread
From everything I've seen, I think Jake had a sprain or bruised wrist/hand. I don't think it was broken, however, he was likely to miss 4-5 games and the Penguins needed cap space so he had to go to LTIR. He was shooting a week after his injury. There was no mention of surgery or anything. The only timeline of March 10th was because he was on LTIR.

Negative. Not Craig Adams. Nor is it Tanner Glass.

Re: 23-24 Penguins Injury Thread
I stand corrected. Not sure why the filter didn't pick it up the first time. So there are three:
-23-24, Jansen Harkins, 43 games, 0 goals (4 assists)
-15-16, Kevin Porter, 41 games, 0 goals (3 assists)
-09-10, Craig Adams, 80 games, 0 goals (10 assists)

Rust is a game time decision. Hopefully he's back in. We need it.
