Bummer. Was hoping they'd draft first overall.

It is kinda weird how most of the teams (aka CBJ and Buf) that were originally going for the fail have turned it around lately

First time I saw the former penguins on their teams.

If it was not the Flyers and I didn't have Bernier on my fantasy team I'd be getting a kick out of the Leafs taking this beat down.

Ovechkin scored a pretty one tonight. It was an old time Ovie goal.
He also tied Pavel Bure for third all time points for Russian players.

I always wanted to see that sort of thing happen. That's actually pretty cool. (Youtube clip added because I don't like mediacrush.)

Jordan Staal did something similar in Carolina a while ago, though I don't think it was on a delayed penalty.

Giroux and Voracek definitely early candidates for the Hart. Totally dominating games facing the oppositions best defensive pairings nightly.

Playoffs for sure a possibility for them if they keep playing like this.

Having two Hart candidates on the same line kind of makes neither of them Hart candidates by definition, right? Not to say they aren't playing well, but if they are both the MVP then neither is the MVP, right?

Jagr and Lemieux didn't seem to have a problem making it work.

MVP seasons...those two played together and were the best players in hockey year in and year out.

In other words, one of those two could easily be a Hart winner.
