I really don't see Bryz being bought out this year.
I'm in the crowd that thinks it's extremely likely they buy him out. Bryz is not an elite goaltender and is also a headcase by even goaltender standards. Flyers would probably rather throw a cheap contract at Timmay Thomas and go ahead and ditch The Bryz, who has a bad contract on a team that is going to need some serious cap relief.
I guess it's just me hoping the Flyers do something stupid.

You mean "off the ice" right? Cause you couldn't be more of a "Stunad" on the ice.
Alexei Kovalev not ready to retire. He just signed with EHC Visp (2nd Swiss League): http://www.hockeyfans.ch/news/meldung/33675" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Tim Panaccio @tpanotchCSN 13s Sources confirm Streit deal done in principle. Await cap compliance and signature. Look for 1 buyout & trade if Flyers cant do 2 buyouts.

I'm a genius! Or, I know how Paul Holmgren thinks after a a couple of weeks of not making some news and wanting to always make some kind of "impact" moves. I was only partially right as I thought they would dump Bryz just to have a little cap space, not to immediately try and use it on Streit.
Also, the absolute huge premium for any dman of any note continues to skyrocket in the NHL. Habs are going to buyout scrub Kaberle if the Flyers really need to throw some more money away on dmen.

Datsyuk's agent Gary Greenstin says 3 year deal worth $23 million: $10 million first year: 7.5 2nd year; 5.5 3rd year. Cap hit is 7.5 mil
