The cooking website I frequent asked a question of the day about food trends you hope die in the new year. My answer was unquestionably bacon. Stop putting bacon in shampoo. Stop making bowls out of six rashers of bacon. Stop baconating everything. This craze has taken something that is a high art and reduced it to the comedy sidekick. Stop.

The fact that you actually called a piece of bacon a "rasher" means I'm going to put bacon on everything now.

My pet peeve today:

I once bought Doc Emrick a pizza... He gave me Pens tickets in return.

People in a big hurry to get in the turning lane ahead of you, but then take a mindbogglingly long time to turn right at the stop sign. I hope your wheels fall off.

Also, people waiting to turn left on green that sit WAY back in the turning lane, so even if there is a gap, they don't have enough time to make the effing turn.

Or people who don't move up in to my intersection when they're making a left turn and then the light turns red and they still in the left hand turning lane. I lost points on my driving test for not pulling into the intersection when making a left turn you idiots

I have! But they keep yammering on about "instantaneous launch windows" and blah, blah, blah.

Bunch of rocket scientists, pfft. Doesn't take a brain surgeon to launch a rocket. It's just explosions.

I really have a short temper for people who don't use the gap between the double yellows and solid white which defines the left turn lane.

"No, I won't use the actual entrance to the lane, I'll wait until I'm a good 20 feet down the way and then make an illegal lane change over a solid white line. Slowly. I may or may not have my blinker on. But then, if I'm feeling extra crispy, I won't actually get the entirety of my can into the turn lane, and leave just enough of my passenger side hanging out that you can't safely pass me in your lane of travel without jinking."

Herpes for all of them.

I don't remember if I said this already, and it may apply to some of you (sorry), but people who use too much perfume/cologne. Jesus Christ. It literally takes my breath away. Worst is when people put cologne on their hands, then neck, and don't wash hands. I bought a used rare CD on ebay 6 months ago and the thing still stinks like the guy's cologne. I left it out in the open for 2 weeks, no difference. I keep it separate in a plastic bag now and will probably just throw it out.

The whole thing smells, the case and the booklet too. I can get a new case, but booklet.. no. Would Windex work on the CD? I have no idea. Maybe. I already bought another copy, brand new. I'm just saying some people go overboard with cologne..... including my step-dad.
