Somehow I think people are mixing up what the internet/media does and what shero does. the offer is made, they are not following any of this, it's probably going per normal from their standpoint. we know nothing.

I doubt that team Jagr's negotiating methods are endearing to the Pens. Shero made his offer that he supposedly isn't going to budge on, and apparently was expecting a decision yesterday. Reportedly, the Pens still haven't heard anything from Jagr. Considering that the Pens probably entered this whole thing with at least a hint of skepticism, I wouldn't be surprised if they've already moved on. We know Shero isn't going to get strung along after what happened with Hossa. In their minds, they probably have already moved on.

I would too. He is probably the only player in the entire NHL, or maybe ever, that I would quit being a Pen fan if he wore a Pens sweater as a player.

The only good Alex Semin would do on this team would be so that Bylsma could physically point to someone and say, "don't play like this guy."

That, and he could play bongos in the band.

I prefer Jagr signs with another team. It is easier to be let down on JUly 1st by him not signing, than Dec 1st by his half hearted play.

Jagr is considering coming back to the NHL.

A couple examples would include Alex Semin or Ales Hemsky. I'd much rather have either of them signed long term for <6M than Leino for <4M.

If Shero signed Semin, I might seriously question my fanhood.

This, and Semin is signed until next year.

I know he is. Sign Jagr for 1 year, then sign Semin next offseason once the cap comes up.

What ever happend to "owing Mario" for his successes and "playing for league minimun" for Mario. He said those things a year or two ago. In my mind, based on Jagr's words, the shouldn't be anything to mull over. If Pittsburgh is "where his heart is" as his agent stated earlier today, then why are we heading toward day 3 of a pending decision.

I was as excited as anyone else about the prospect (more nosolgia) of Jagr coming back. How quickly he reminds us of why this town washed our hands of him in the first place.

He plays great until the play-offs. For the money being spent, I'd settle for someone who was more consistent.
