The He'Brew Funky Jewbelation is really interesting. Its something like a sour and a belgian strong dark ale had a baby while drunk on jäger.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
stacked is right off of walnut. same concept as burgatory (i.e. you use your little pen an pencil to pick what you want on your burger)

Gotcha, I guess that silly martini bar closed down and this place moved in?

Pliny the Elder maximum take of 6 bottles, and 4 bottles of Blind Pig, (samples of each and the Younger) I feel the day was a success.
Just finished a Pyramid IPL. Imperial Pale Lager. 6.00% lager. Hops were not big as expected, very malty, finished as a Cream Ale. From a bottle.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Jealous... I asked the guy in charge of ordering beer at a local bar that's known for all of its micros if they could get Russian River beers in. He said if he could, he would, but it's illegal. Something about the distribution area where they're located and Russian River not being approved in that area. It's BS.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
You have mail.
Russian River only has rights to distribute in 3 states, and the city of Philly. Small brewery in downtown Santa Rosa, the smell of malt runs from the courthouse to the mall. Main Street is smelling good!

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Had a Breckenridge Ophelia and a GL Rye of the Tiger last night.
Ophelia was pretty good. Would be a great hot summer day beer. It was described as a hoppy wheat ale...okay. Didn't get alot of hops, but I guess more than a 'normal' wheat. Overall pretty good.
Rye of the Tiger is absolutely awesome. Nice hoppy IPA with the rye bite. Sooo good.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
tis good stuff. I had a Jackie O's hop ryot (rye ipa) the other day and it was quite delicious as well. I don't think I've seen the Founders Red Rye IPA, but after having these 2, I'd certainly like to try it. Nice style.malkinshair wrote: Rye of the Tiger is absolutely awesome. Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
I'll have to look for the Jackie O's...never had it. Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye is also very good. I think I saw it at giant eagle, but went with the GL. Haven't seen the Founders yet either.eddysnake wrote:tis good stuff. I had a Jackie O's hop ryot (rye ipa) the other day and it was quite delicious as well. I agree , my local hangout had that on tap almost all winter and it was my goto beer most of the time. I acutally like that better than the sierra nevada regular IPA. The Sierra Nevada torpedo IPA is a slight step above the ruthless Rye though.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
It's a fantastic experience. They have a wonderful brewpub/restaurant right there that serves up some absolutely delicious grub. Highly recommend the croque madame, since there aren't too many places you can order one of those.llipgh2 wrote:I'm doing the Ommegang Brewery (or as they call themselves Brewery Ommegang) tour next month.columbia wrote:I'm spending the early evening with Plato, Kant and Sartre.
The sampling room is great too, decent sized samples of their six most well-known brews (the Witte all the way up to 3 Philosophers)

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Currently drinking a ST 2XOne. This is tasty, but I'm really at a loss for words to describe it. It seems like there are a ton of hops and it should have way more of a bite, but it is somehow tempered. I think there is witchcraft involved. Not Simon Girty level satanic stuff, but definitely some blood magic at play here.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Victory Swing Session Saison. I think the previous time I had this, it was immediately following a Nugget Nectar which wasn't really fair for one, and my taste buds were literally hopped up at that point.
So this is like the first time I'm really trying it. I would say that it's decent, but I think the Yards is better... that has a bit more flavor, IMO.
