I saw them in '85 with Motley Crue. I enjoyed their set enough to buy the cassette.

yeah, they were good. i never got into them much though. probably not heavy enough, with all the thrash bands around.

I don't like the thing you posted, but there is a ton of talent on the Japanese music scene. Most of which will never be heard in the US. Different culture... they have their own thing going on.

Tokyo Blade (what am I saying. i got them confused.). I for some reason thought they were from Japan. Brain fart, as they were pretty popular.
I really wasn't into much of that softer side of metal with the emerging thrash, black, and death metal scenes. I instead listened to stuff like Celtic Frost. At one point even Iron Maiden were a bunch of sissies I wouldn't listen to.

I remember the Japanese band I was thinking of before. Very good band and very influential on the Japanese scene. As I said, this kind of stuff was too soft for me for a while there. It was a mistake.

As I watch X Japan now, I almost want to kick myself in the ass. Anyone into thrash, power, speed, neo-classical metal should enjoy this stuff. The word I would use to describe the first video (concert) is masterful, for both the music and performance.
