I was in the head and thought that the Devils would win.
Walked back to the TV and saw the goal.

Congrats to the Devils.

Good for the Devils.

I can legitimately be happy that Parise, Elias, Sykora, and Moose get a chance to play for the cup. I still hate Marty and Uncle Lou and will be rooting for the Kings to win the cup, but the Devils definitely earned this trip. Additionally, I've definitely gained a lot more respect for Kovy over these playoffs, he's really laid it all on the line this year.

Should be a heck of a series between LA and NJ.

In the post game presser Torts was asked if he had a different view of his team than during the beginning of the season. He responded with "I love our balls". What??? Oh man, awesome.

Who is "Stan" thats been in all these post games that you can tell Torts just HATES. Im sure I know this guy, i know his voice all playoffs, but just cant picture him now. But if theres one thing I like about Torts, if he doesnt like you he'll show you, like larry brookes. But this Stan guy has been taken a beating from him for 2 months.

I think this will be a fantastic Final for us hockey fans. I dont think rate'ins or anything will show it. But I think these teams are about as even offensively and defensivley and coaching wise as possible. It also helps I dont hate either team. Im almost learning toward the devils but I might just root for whos ever in the lead at the time, like I did in the WCF. At least I dont have to sweat it like the 2010 finals.

If you root for the devils you are sub human to me. I don't understand how anyone can rationalize rooting for a team that almost single handedly destroyed the sport I love most

I don't understand how anyone rational can say this, mean it and still claim they love the sport. It the words of Judge Judy, "that's bologna, it doesn't make sense"

They kicked the Flyers ass and they, well kicked the Rangers ass.

And I think they've played the cleanest best hockey I've seen in a long, long time. And you;re 20 years old, so stop it with that drama.

It's the Devils for me. Parise and Kovy are two of my favorite's and I've always liked The A Train.
However, should the Kings win and Carter and Richards hoist the Cup, well alright then!

If Carter and Richards (and Stevens) win the Cup it would make the Flyers look extra stupid, so there's that. Best way to win a Cup if you're a Flyer is to get fired and traded. :thumb:

I now have more respect for Kovalchuk and think the Devils have a decent group of guys playing for the Cup right now. I can live with either team hoisting it at this point.

Leave it to Tortorella to say "I love our balls" comfortably out in the open.
