Sullivan would probably be a really good coach for the Rangers. I think his issue with the Penguins is longevity, there is a reason coaches have a shelf life and Sullivan doesn’t coach like someone with something to prove but with no reason to believe he’d be fired. Fresh start with the Rangers where his BS isn’t falling on deaf ears might get them a cup.

I’m more worried about his lineup decisions and special teams than his BS. His BS isn’t the issue.

Was actually a good move by Hextall getting a 3rd for Blueger. But he blew it all with the Granlund trade.

Hexy made a bunch of really good moves. The Blueger trade was fine.

Unfortunately he made a bunch of bonehead moves too. And those far outweigh the good.

He did get good deals on Letang and Geno. He did sign Rakell.

Then there's McCann, Carter, Kapanen, Granlund... and all kinda things in-between

Was still on his watch, so I will extend some credit to Hextall.

Equally, (hypothetically) if he got forced into making say the Carter contract, I would have blamed Hextall. That's how that works.
