Just watched this clip from GMA this morning...I actually thought Cruz did a pretty good job handling himself on there, with a panel that obviously wasn't throwing softball questions.

Are you talking about Del Frisco's or the Wendy's?

He's Princeton debate team and definitely not a rube.

Yeah, I read an article several years ago (probably right after he made it to the Senate) detailing his resume and intelligence (also his egomania). He's not W. He's probably more like a smarter, more polished Santorum. I still don't think he'll get anywhere near the nomination, but I bet he has good showings in some early, conservative states.

Cruz said, “There would be less cancer, less disease, and aids and diabetes in this country if people would simply pray. God blesses the righteous with good health and curses the immoral with sickness.”

The thought that someone who believes that could be elected to congress and run for president is mind boggling.

Yeah. I prefer to live in reality. I respect people and what they believe, but sometimes its just too much especially for someone who could potentially hold alot of power.

I see he's running on the "Wrathful Old Testament God" platform. In 2015. That's a bold strategy, let's see if it pays off for him.

*finishes 4th in Iowa*

Whoops.

EPP's guy Santorum won in '12 and Huckabee in '08 in Iowa so you might want to revise that prediction.

I feel like there's a vocal backlash from the GOP establishment towards the Iowa voters. Basically saying the Iowa winner shouldn't mean anything.

It should be interesting in Iowa as Santorum, Cruz, Huckabee, and Walker will all be vying for the evangelical right.

Are you advocating that Big Brother create such laws?

you do know open container laws are state right?

Really? So my pious grandmother who started and ended every day with prayer and ultimately died of breast cancer after a six-year fight just didn't have her heart in it, I guess.

Eff that guy.

i see plenty of references to that quote, but nothing official.

he was just pandering to his audience, i'm sure. but that only makes it a little better.
