Does anybody have the Joe Thornton PTSD ones? I saw a couple last April and they are hilarious.

The game has obviously turned more disrespectful and reckless despite that one-off clip...isolated incidents will occur throughout history...

Re: Hockey dot gif
I think that's still what we're seeing today... isolated incidents. I'm sure back then, just like now, there are habitual line steppers. People that might play a little dirty, but never do anything that's really over that line, then every once in a while some knucklehead does something so over the top that the league steps in, does their thing, and then there's a long wait for the next one.mikey287 wrote:The game has obviously turned more disrespectful and reckless despite that one-off clip...isolated incidents will occur throughout history...

Re: Hockey dot gif
I think it boils down to the game being too fast for its own good and it creates a lot of problems...a lot of things that I might interpret as "disrespectful" are really just programmed in by way of the short-shift, over-rostered game we see today...a few ways to go with the discussion, none of which are gifs...

go watch the pens/north stars series. it's filthy in a way you don't see anymore.mikey287 wrote:The game has obviously turned more disrespectful and reckless despite that one-off clip...isolated incidents will occur throughout history...
i think your main issue is with guys like rinaldo who have no "code". maybe those guys didn't used to exist. but cheap shots and dangerous play have existed for a long time - at least to the degree that they do now.
