The Stars will battle for a playoff spot, but they have the over 40 beer league on lock down.

Scrivens looked great for the leafs tonight. Bad job by Phaneuf in front of him only thing preventing the shutout.

I wonder how long it will take for Jordan Staal to regret moving to Carolina? They looked bad vs Florida.

Re: Other NHL games
Morris just nailed Jagr twice in about 30 seconds. Crushed him on the boards pretty well then a solid hip check on the next time in the Coyotes' zone.

Re: Other NHL games
I'm not a Vancouver fan at all. They act like they've won 3 cups....they haven't done anything...I saw their GM was on the ice right before the game speaking to the crowd. They have the best fans blah blah. Just came off as self-indulgent to me...
Not a fan...

Re: Other NHL games
You look at them, and they've done really well with a couple things:relantel wrote:really, outside of the Sedins, what does Vancouver have?
1. They've assembled a good, well rounded defense. Pro - they put up a lot of points as a group and it is deep with guys who can play up and down the lineup. Con - there are no real specialists in either way (offensive guys, but more importantly totally defensive guys)
2. Once you get past the Sedins, you don't have overwhelming talent, but they also have very few throw away guys. Their forwards are all pretty well rounded. So while they haven't assembled Malkin/Neal/Crosby up front, they have a much deeper 2nd, 3rd, and even 4th line that can roll without having a line that HAS to sit a majority of the game when it's close.
This goalie situation is going to be a mess. Luongo wants out. Vancouver wants him out. But then you have a game like yesterday where Vancouver will say it doesn't change anything and Schnieder is still their guy, but it's a seed.
Solution: Time to bring back Eddie Lack (once he's healthy)

Looks like this could be the beginning of the decline of the mighty Red Wings....they'll be back. That's some organization...

At least Jordan and his brother can watch the playoffs on TV together.relantel wrote:I wonder how long it will take for Jordan Staal to regret moving to Carolina? They looked bad vs Florida.
Alexei Kovalev has more goals than Jordan. Just sayin'.

Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
As per @tsnjfranklin, Gomez is in Calgary with the Sharks. As of late this am, no signed contract. Headed in that direction.

Re: Other NHL games
Pee-aire going on and on and on and on and on about a disallowed goal for PHI. Saying it "wasn't much of a push by Fedotanko". If there is any push while a goalie is playing a puck it is interference.

In what world would that have not been interference?
Milbury's, I guess.

Re: Other NHL games
Did I see that right? Did Dallas play a line of Jagr Morrow and Whitney? If so that is awesome and very old
