I thought about MSL at my next pick. The age thing is a bit of a problem, but the dude is a great hockey player. I would imagine next year he'll have a bit of a drop off from his past production, but we'll see.

If this was a keeper league MSL would not have been on my radar until much later. He was the other one that I was referring to.

A few beers did factor into not looking at any other options though. :lol:

JVR's selection made my pick much easier. I wanted him for my power play, but Chris Kunitz is a better fit for my team. Better defensively certainly, if nothing else. 8th most goals in the NHL the past three seasons...not a player trending upwards (thus, his selection in the 80's) but definitely a fine value here I feel...

My question with Kunitz is how reliant was he on Crosby. His style works so well with Crosby that I'm worried his value would take a huge hit without him. I still think he's a 20-25 goal scorer without Crosby, but he's heavily dependent upon other players to be really successful. I'm guessing you're going to play him with Pavelski (though he may be your RW for the first line)? That'd be an effective duo, I think, & would definitely make him a value pick there.
