I'm done watching these games. I knew I shouldn't care about it.

Austria PP, might as well be even strength for Canada.

I saw a similar comment elsewhere. It was something like "Benn to the box. Guess we're playing at even strength now."MRandall25 wrote:Austria PP, might as well be even strength for Canada.

By and large, Canadian media types are very smug. I will rejoice in Don Cherry and Glen Healy's misery if their 'boys' don't medal.

Maatta is just so good. Its unreal. He's been the best defenseman for Finland so far, its awesome. He looks years above his age.

Maatta will get the chance to shutdown Sid in a couple days. Can - Fin setting up to be a pretty good match. I pick Finland to play spoiler in this tournament at some point.

Re: The Official Olympic Hockey Thread
I still think the losses of Filpulla and Koivu especially will be too much for Finland to overcome to play "spoiler" for anyone.

Kunitz is doing a pretty good job of shutting Sid down. His only point came with Marleau & Carter.pcm wrote:Maatta will get the chance to shutdown Sid in a couple days. Can - Fin setting up to be a pretty good match. I pick Finland to play spoiler in this tournament at some point.

Even most Canadians don't like Cherry or Healy.profpolisci wrote:By and large, Canadian media types are very smug. I will rejoice in Don Cherry and Glen Healy's misery if their 'boys' don't medal.

The Austrian team looks so small compared to Canada.

I don't know how someone can not like Healy the analyst. He's so entertaining.

Canada really spreading the ice-time around to the forwards. No forward received fewer than 17 shifts and no more than 20 shifts.

Scratch that. Benn and Bergeron received 21 and 22 shifts.meow wrote:Canada really spreading the ice-time around to the forwards. No forward received fewer than 17 shifts and no more than 20 shifts.

That's at least 17 shifts too many for Kunitz. He's been garbage.meow wrote:Canada really spreading the ice-time around to the forwards. No forward received fewer than 17 shifts and no more than 20 shifts.

You really think that? I don't think he's looked worse than some other Canadians. Bergeron and Nash jump to mind.tfrizz wrote:That's at least 17 shifts too many for Kunitz. At least Toews has been killer on the dot.

I didn't think St. Louis looked good at all today. Whiffed on a few prime chances.

Bergeron is currently the 4th highets scoring forward on the team behind Marleau, Getzlaf and Carter.meow wrote:You really think that? I don't think he's looked worse than some other Canadians. Interesetingly, Kunitz and Subban are the only players on Canada who aren't a +.
