Re: TV Shows
I just found an old Northern Exposure online. Season One, Episode One.
I loved that show and I can't get this silly grin off my face.

homeland. its jazz-iness, xfiles strings soundtrack, quiet scenes, some of the filming. it pulls me in like an anime. like cowboy bebop.

Honest to god, I don't know how anyone can say Shameless is a bad show based on the fact that Jane Levy and Emmy Rossum are both in it

Re: TV Shows
Has anyone seen any information on an upcoming miniseries "To Appomattox?"
http://www.toappomattox.com/Home.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Michael C. Hall as Grant
Damian Lewis as McPherson
Will Patton as Lee
Bill Paxton as Stonewall Jackson
William Petersen as Sherman
And a bunch of country singers...
I can't tell if it's for real, as there is some connection to NASCAR and a graphic novel in the works...

Kinda disappointed with the Hell on Wheels finale. After a string of great episodes, it was just okay. Had some good moments, but overall... not great.

The show has nothing much to do with Alcatraz. They are just using the name to bring in viewers.shafnutz05 wrote:I'm pretty pumped for Alcatraz

Re: TV Shows
I'm starting to get bored with HIMYM. The beginning of the year started off better, but I just think they ran out of stuff to show. They are doing the typical, so and so get married and move away from the group, the group doesn't know how to handle it, etc, etc. Happens in a lot of long running shows like that, and it just gets old.
Like I said before, still going to stick with it. I've watched it too long to give up now. But I think they should just wrap it up next year instead of extending it.

Re: TV Shows
I just gave up on it this season. I think the last episode I watched was the one where robin and Barney were supposed to end their respective relationships and be together, but robin chickened out. And I only watched that because I knew a song from a band I like was going to be on it, and I thought that was kinda neat.

Re: TV Shows
this season of HIMYM has been brutal. it's not like it's ever been tightly bound to reality, but we've seen these story lines this year...
-ted and barney adopting a baby
-ted and barney opening up a bar in their apartment on NYE, and apparently it only took them like 5 minutes
-the gang making friends with a stripper and a russian mobster
there are probably more that i'm forgetting, but man...they're running low on fuel. and who actually believes that they're going to stay on long island?

You know what show went to total **** after starting strong? Pan Am holy hell is this show bad now. Way too many story lines and really no character development after the first 5ish episodes. Oh well.

Great. I am wasting all this space on 10 eps or so of this (only watched the Pilot). The first 5 still worth watching knowing the next 5 aren't good?canaan wrote:it turned to absolute dump, and it was iffy from the get go. a waste.Pavel Bure wrote:You know what show went to total **** after starting strong? Re: TV Shows
We watched it last night. Thought it set up a premise, and the team. Though it sets up a show that will be episodic and less of a master story arc. We liked it though. Only hope they do have a master story arc going forward.KG wrote:The show has nothing much to do with Alcatraz. Watched the season finale for Hell on Wheels last night as well. It was ok. Still really enjoyed the show. To me, now that they established the characters and story, next season will be even better.

I know. I didn't like it. Acting was bad. Story, eh. So every week they're gonna have the same episode. Some criminal from the past comes back to hurt people and they catch him. I did not like the actors. The blonde isn't much to look at. The fat guy with long hair... why do they keep putting him on tv? The guy in charge of the thing (he played in jurrasic park).. I don't generally like his acting. I wasn't disappointed as I wasn't expecting much, but, yeah, I didn't like it. Boring story with actors I have no interest in watching.
I would rather play a video game......

It was excellent! Loved the table trick in the end. I burst out laughing, pretty much.MWB wrote:Three minutes until Justified.
Also, White Collar came back last night with a great episode.
