When the dryer doesn't completely dry my clothes. I don't want to spend another $1.75 to dry them again, but they're in that "kinda dry, but not enough to wear" state,

Referring to athletes as "kids". It's not irrational when McGuire does it.

Along that line... referring to the college a football player went to even though they are a 10 year vet of the NFL. Who cares and what impact does it actually have on their current play?

Replace "bicycles" with "guns" and I've got a lot of buddies who are probably living in abject terror.Mango Salsa wrote:canaan wrote:saw this on reddit and thought of youMango Salsa wrote:Yep I get that too. "That guy" in a meeting that feels the need to ask long questions that no one gives a **** about and draw the meeting out.

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
The one that asks a question that clearly is a unique situation only to him and no one else is experiencing these sorts of issues? I have always hated "that guy". What's so bad about going up to the presenter afterwards and asking your very specific question?the wicked child wrote:"That guy" in a meeting that feels the need to ask long questions that no one gives a **** about and draw the meeting out.

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
There are these two people at my corporate office that I constantly have dealings with for review purposes. They are related, but they are not in the same chain of command, so there are no nepotism issues. That being said, their departments are closely related.
They are constantly defending each other when the inevitable snafu happens at work. For example, I sent one of them a template that had to be finalized by COB Friday. Minutes after emailing them this afternoon asking where the heck it is, I get an email from the other one telling me I'm being unreasonable and the deadline wasn't even a strict requirement anyway. It goes both ways, and it's a pretty fascinating dynamic to watch.

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
Not really a pet peeve, but every time I am at a self serve soda fountain I have to give a few presses into the drink well from the tap I am using before I'll fill my cup.
I guess my irrational pet peeve would be places that don't have self serve soda fountains

Along a similar vein, the new Coke machines with the touch screen and various drink options have terrible touch screen sensitivities.viva la ben wrote:Not really a pet peeve, but every time I am at a self serve soda fountain I have to give a few presses into the drink well from the tap I am using before I'll fill my cup.
Also, you sometimes get whatever the person who went before you had with your drink. I don't really want orange flavored water with my cherry Dr. Pepper, thank you very much.

There's a guy I work with that drags his left foot when he walks. I want to break his leg off at the knee and bludgeon him to death with it.

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
That woman (girl more like it, probably early 20s) directly behind me on the plane yesterday from Chicago to Philly that
A) spoke loud enough to her seatmate that people four rows away were turning around to glare at her
B) didn't read the social cues to STFU or turn it down a notch or 17
C) Couldn't figure out the time change
D) Thought she was God's gift to her boss despite being a pretty dim bulb (obvious by her 45 minutes of talking at the beginnning of the flight and another 35 minutes at the end.
Although Godric would probably like her. She is a bodybuilder and placed 2nd last weekend. And she is from Massachussetts and she only drove through New Jersey once and now she is working there in a luxury apartment buidling in Jersey City and she drove 9 hours from South Carolina a few weeks back and she loved living in San Diego but didn't like visiting LA, and she has a one-year old...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
