Apparently Fasth to ANA hinged in the Penner to WSH deal, which is presumably there Neuvirth comes into play. Penner to WSH has been confirmed by Bob McKenzie.


This also means Pens fans' hopes of getting Hiller or Halak or Miller (or anyone but Fleury ) for the playoffs are pretty well dead.

Bergenheim would be a great addition to the 3rd line. Grab Conacher off waivers, and pick up Vanek or Kesler for Sid's RW (?) and things are starting to look up.

Penner's size and playoff history definitely worth that acquisition cost. Not sure where he fits on the Caps though perhaps they have other moving pieces?

Ducks send the fourth they got from Washington to Dallas to acquire Robidas. So, in effect, it's swapping Penner for Robidas.
