I was betting redwill had the K diamonds. Otherwise I had a miscalc of a blunder, as I had miscounted the Clubs.

regardless of this trick I think we've got the hand, as I have a heart and the two remaining trump. (I.e. it's either 8-2 w/o this trick or 9-1 with it)

We were lucky that the J Diamonds and J Hearts were split up. The Widow was bad: one small Diamonds and the rest black. My Q Clubs was a major weakness. Luckily rel had the K Clubs. We probably would have lost otherwise.

I have the K hearts - so would have been 8-2.

based on my hand I was wondering wth redwill was thinking on upping the bid. I was hoping the widow would make up for the hand.

Before the Widow I had two Aces, four trump, and few Clubs and Spades. I hoped I could get void in the black suits with the Widow, keeping only the A Clubs. Unfortunately the Widow didn't cooperate. But we had several things fall in our favor in that hand. It had loser written all over it.

The decision point yesterday to lead the K clubs over the Q hearts... I had mistakenly counted 13 cards forgetting that it should have been 11 (only trump would have been 13 but methinks a brain cramp just divided a normal 52 by 4). I knew there were 4 trump left, the 8 and 10 which I had yet to play, and one card I could beat and one I could not.
