I rooted for the scoreboard to drop but that never has worked out.

I watched the video through CSN Mid-Atlantic. Caps commentators perfectly fine with the hit

Didn't look vicious but he hit him in the back. Is that boarding? Those hits should be 2 minute minor. I don't think it is worthy of a suspension.

People think that the Penguin commentators are yinzers... The Caps crew are horrible.

100% boarding though.

Agree, it was not terrible but his back was turned the entire way. Not a good play

Insane pass by Matthews. Watch Komarov get Orpik's goat after the goal. Hysterical.

I get 2 channels that play hockey besides Root, but every out of town game seems to involve the Blackhawks or the Flyers. Hawks two nights in a row, no less.

Anyone remember a game (probably 10-15 years ago) where a player just chopped away at a guys skates. Just went crazy and kept chopping and chopping. I was trying to find a video.

Mirco Muller ejected around the 7 minute mark. Intent to injure? Nope. Game misconduct? Nope. He was a pregame healthy scratch. Lol.

Brooks Orpik put some serious lumps in Steve Ott in a spirited scrap today. I can't recall the last time I saw Orpik in a fight.

Didn't see any playoffs thread to put this in, but this Blues/Wild game is great. Switched from Oilers/Sharks on a commercial break in 1st period and haven't switched back.

The tension in the Verizon Center is palpable. It's game 1, round 1, tied after two, and their fans are expecting a meltdown. Should make for an interesting playoff season.

OT in the Verizon Center. The faces on the fans is priceless. Let's give them something to think about, Babcock?

I can't believe that Oshie doesn't have a league-wide reputation as being a diving flop-asaurous. He's a Pez-dispenser who can't stand up when hit. Taught well by #8.

Ovie just went offside trying to buy a tripping call. :face:

And I totally agree with you on Oshie. But the thing is he will draw 3 or 4 penalties on that trademark dive.

There was a great moment last playoffs when a linesman bumped Oshie from the side after a whistle. He nearly died on the spot, until he realized it couldn't draw a penalty.

So I am watching the beginning of the Sens/Bruins game 2. They are showing starters Erik Karlsson and Brad Marchand and I immediately think of Matt Cooke's skate and James Neal's knee. Not sure why.
