Two of the guys I've been following closely scored this morning, so that was nice. One of them is undrafted, might do some more investigating on him...
I have a baby girl, who usually wakes up around 3 or 3:30 for a bottle. My plan was to stay up from that feeding and watch. Of course, this is the morning she sleeps until 7.
Haha. Yeah I always wake up around 4 and then go back to sleep. For some reason I thought I would stay up today. I woke up, thought about the game, then decided that since i'm going to SNF, it might be better to go back to sleep.
His mediocrity justified all the questioning of the decision to give him the net and give it to him so early. Did anyone in junior hockey agree with it? 3 of the four goals today were saveable, 1 should have definitely been saved.

Honestly... I was hoping Russia would light up Subban in the last game of the round robin so there'd be a chance Binnington would start in the playoff round. IMO he's a much more steady goalie.

1st goal, screened by not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4....FOUR of his own guys. 2nd goal, screened by 2 of his own guys. 3rd goal was nasty. A curl and drag into the middle with a US guy busting the net and a perfectly placed shot. 4th goal was probably the weakest goal, and his D just let Vesey walk around him. Were they savable? Maybe, but to expect your goalie to make those saves, you should be prepared to lose.

this will be a good game but the bronze medal game, or as my gf calls it, the "Dyson Suck Less Bowl" could be more interesting. host country Russia fighting for SOME kind of hardware while Canada fights to not be (any more) embarrassed at the World Juniors in an NHL lockout year which allowed them to have all of their best players and not hide behind, "well, their NHL teams wouldn't let them play."
