I guess I didn't long-game reason there -- but I figured all that would do (leading Q iso A) was lose that trick only to win another trick later, but still not enough to win the hand.

rw, thanks for suggesting this. I had no idea of the concept when we started. (Hell, I first thought you were talking Rummy) And now, we've managed over 2000 posts and over 80 pages.

If/when we pick a fourth player back up, I am down for another game, whether that's next week, next month or next year. I'd also take a stab at dealing if mrandall or rylan want in as a player.

500 was always my favorite card game as a kid, there were periods where we'd play every night after dinner.

This worked out pretty well.

Wrangle up three other people and a big tub of popcorn and try it in real life. It's great fun.

Thank you, redwill. Hope to see you back here soon. This game turned out to be a lot more fun than I expected. I originally thought the delays would be a negative, but I was wrong. The games have had a really laid back feel - no one in a hurry.
