Kronwell with another hit targeting the head which somehow has been legal for him his entire career.

That was a massive hit but that is typical Kronwell. I didn't see anything illegal about it at all.

He got nothing for it. Hickey had his back to Ovechkin for just about the entirety of the sequence, about 4 feet from the boards. AO proceeded to drive Hickey into the boards with the stick up around the shoulder blade/neck area. There was no injury so no 5 minute major but that kind of crap and less has been called all year because it's a dangerous play. Something should have been called in my opinion.

I guess since both teams played 'clean hockey' only one PP (Carlson got his hands up in the face of Cizikas and gave him a shot) was issued so maybe I'm skewed on what to expect...

Having watched the whole game, it was FAR from clean. Lots of late and high hits. The refs just didn't call anything.

He's suspended for game 7. It was a blatantly illegal hit. Left his feet, targeted the head and led with his elbow.

I don't think so. He leaves his feet after the point of impact which is natural when two players collide like that and one is driving upward with their check, but he didn't leave his feet before contact. Now, he may have hit him in the head with a shoulder but didn't see an elbow there. Maybe it's just my old-man vision going here but I don't think that's a bad hit except it was considered high and that's a no-no these days with players skating around with their heads down and paying no attention while trying to exit the zone to who is on the ice like predator Kronwall, who has made many devastating hits in that same situation and same part of the ice almost every time. Stop skating around like Lindros with your head down already.

Kronwall had 1 skate clearly off the ice and the other came up as he pyt his forearm into the neck/chin area. Should have been an easy penalty call on the ice. Glad he got a suspension.
