It was thought that Hossa was going to be there, but at the last minute he decided to go to the Republican festivities in Washington

I'm not sure it's just coincidence that the Pens began to break out of the slump once it got bumped again...dagny wrote:hmmmmmm. . . . . .wallflower wrote:I hate to say it but...this thread was active during the winning streak and not during the slump... Re: Hossa to DET
This guy screwed us over, if he would of told us he wasn;t intrested in the first day of free agency we could of looked around at other guys. Since Hossa waited and waited and waited to tell us his decision all the other free agents were signed up we were left to sigh Satan...
how do you go into free agency and unless you are waiting for a bidding war, Hossa wasn;t, he wanted to sign with an elite team to win a cup, if he was honest with everyone, he could of signerd with Detroit on the first day of Free agency and we could of still landed another decient player or 2. nstead we got.. i hate to say his name again... Satan.

And he is looking more and more like a genius. Where is Detroit in the standings? Where are the Pens in the standings?

Re: Hossa to DET
I got no probolem with him signing with Detroit, play where you want. But i guess him letting us wait and wait for his decision, he knew once all the other top free agents were signed that we would be weaker and Detrit would be stronger. So i guess he was twice as smart for waiting and signing with Detroit huh!!!
But come on it was a no brainer if you wanted to sign with the team who gives you the best chance for a cup. Pick the cup champs.
Maybe it was Sheros fault for waiting for his decision, he sould of said after 2 days, we need your decision now.

Re: Hossa to DET
This is absolutely beating a dead horse, but there were no other UFAs. After Hossa, it was all pretty much crap. That's why Shero held on so long. He wasn't actually missing out on anyone.no name wrote:This guy screwed us over, if he would of told us he wasn;t intrested in the first day of free agency we could of looked around at other guys.
